My wife and I just got back from watching Pete's Dragon. It's a Disney movie for kids, in 3-D, but there were no kids there, and it was really very good. As you might expect, it's about a kid and a dragon. The kid is in a car with his parents when the car flips over and his parent's are killed. No blood is shown throughout the whole movie, but it's no without drama.

The kid is found by a dragon, and spends six years on the forest with the dragon. Civilization begins to encroach on their forest, complete with evil people with chainsaws and bulldozers. One of the evil people isn't quite so evil, and he has a daughter the age of Pete and a wife who is a treehugger.

Pete finds a home, the bad guys find the dragon. Everyone gets in a lot of trouble but the kids help save the dragon, the dragon saves the little girl's parents. The boy goes home with his new family. The dragon flies north and finds a dragon family of his own, and the kids get to visit from time to time.

You can't go wrong with that, and in 3-D no less.

Well if it's still playing after sept 11 and if they haven't already gone to see it, I guess I can take the 3 youngest grandsons to see it.

They LOVE dragons. Not in 3D though...it triggers a migraine for me sometimes.

I love cartoon movies, especially the ones that have different actors and actresses. Angele Joule, who voices the Tigress in, "Kung Fu Panda". I read that her children voiced the little pandas in "Kung Fu Panda lll". Jackie Chan also voices in, "Kung Fu Panda l" I love him in all the "Rush Hour", movies. We have to see that movie.

We remember when "Pete's Dragon" first came out the only animation was the dragon. This is a must see for sure and 3-D.:)

Yeah, I do recommend it. We were feeling a little silly going to see it without a kid, but found that there were no kids in the room, probably because we went to a late night showing. It's not a movie I would have thought about seeing, if not for having seen the previews.

I like seeing movies like that, and look at how far we have come in animation. We were all thrilled to see at the movie house, "The Nightmare Before Christmas." This was the first full featured animated movie that was computerized. Now were into 3-D animation. I watch, "Shreck" because of the computerized colors that artists have to work with.:)

Pete's Dragon isn't animated. That said, I strongly suspect that the dragon isn't real.

The last several movies I have seen have been animated. I think it is great that adults are supporting them. I go because of witty story lines, no gratuitous sex, no cursing, and no over done violence. I can relax and be entertained.
