Shirley.. Simcoe is way south of where I live.. It is on Lake Simcoe and it isn't that far from Toronto.. It is where many folks from Toronto have summer cottages.. Yes they have winters and colder weather.. No doubt... Check-out on Google where Massey is compared to Simcoe....
Holly, tell them to shut off the heat and just open the windows ,, or take your break outside just to get cooled down.. Its was up in the hi 80's again today and humid to boot,, and we will be seeing 90's again in a few days. just when we thought this heat wave was over too, Good night everyone ,.see you mon yonna..!
It is raining very hard which is a blessing.. We need the rain badly.. tomorrow we are back to warm temps.. In the mid 20'sC for the week...
LOL Louise..I meant it's 32 degrees outside the windows and doors are all open, but there's no breeze to even flow through...no AC and no fans...and humidity at over 80%. Incidentally I rarely ever get a break... We could do with rain desperately here too Steve, it's less hot today than it has been all week, it's 82 deg f....with 60% humidity...they promised us thunder, lightening and rain today but it's already mid-day and no sign of it *sigh*.. At least I have the weekend off this week..it's a holiday weekend here so most people are away on a trip and London is mobbed with tourists as always..but even more so in August ...I'm staying home today with my fans on full...
haha, good for you.. keep cool ... still in the 90's again all this week and next weeks forecast is almost the same as this weeks , 90's again, I'ts Melting hot outside,!!
We are home and it's stil very cool here ..so it's back to winter PJ's ,jumpers and warm long pants during the day we can only hope it warms up soon but you all can keep your extreme heat waves ....hope we don't have a horrible summer like we did last year
Kate, do y'all have spring and fall like we do here? We are just going into fall. It's my favorite time of year. I'm leaving Wednesday to fly to Seattle. I have a lot of things to do before then. I'll be gone two weeks. I'm taking my Kindle so I might be able to look in here but I doubt if I will have much time to post. There is still something wrong with my computer. It takes a long time for anything to download or upload. I think my hardware might need to be updated. My DIL has someone who is going to repair it while I'm gone. When I get back, I'll be good as new! If I get time, I'll be here for a while tomorrow.
Well, it is cooling down a tad here. I think this is going to be a decent week heading into Labor Day. It is supposed to be humid here today, but the temp is fairly low so it doesn't feel too bad here. Of course, it is still early, so ask me at 4pm what I think.... No matter, I plan to go swimming today so I should stay cool enough. Kitty might beg to differ but he will tough it out! Remember we are edging closer every day to Fall and we have the shorter days to prove it. So, it is coming.
Shirley, hope you have a wonderful time out west. and hope your computer is in A-1 condition when you get home too, we will miss you , dear.. No relief for our heat wave that has been in the 90's for eons it seems.. The trees don't know its so still very hot .. they are dropping their leaves like Fall as begun,,
Shirley, I hope you have a wonderful time in Seattle, don't forget to take some photos I've never seen Seattle I may have to google street view it, and see what it looks like. Still warm here..not too hot..at 80 degrees f...but plenty warm enough . Louise our leaves are not falling except the Laurel hedge which is shedding a few brown leaves but I think that's because they've not had enough water during this recent heatwave, even though I try to make sure to have the sprinklers on most days...but the grass has stayed green and all the shrubs still look very healthy Day off for me today..then back to the grindstone tomorrow..
Thanks, y'all. Holly, the forecast in Seattle is for temps in the mid 50s night and 70-72 daytime. That will seem nice after our heat and humidity. Gotta go. See y'all when I get back.
Have a great time @Shirley Martin ......That'll be right I'm back from holidays ,freezing cold after spending a month in 22- 25 c temps ....I wanna play games and your going away now .. I just posted Happy in one word about your day so far I posted ....Happy ...and I'll explain why,.........I've already mentioned this to @Holly Saunders ..After getting home from Queensland on Saturday I picked up my mail from the local store / post office ,Amongst my pile of mail was a traffic offence from Melbourne ( Victoria) for driving through a Toll road three times without paying ....WHAT !!!!!NO WAY "NORA" to quote Holly .. After I phoned the toll company which , by the way is a run by a contractor and has a get the money out of the customers at any costattitude I phoned them at 7 am in the morning their time ( they are 1/2 hour ahead of us ) they said I should pay the fines to avoid any further costs ( on me ) while they investigate my case ..Again no way Nora ...I say I might be old but I'm not Silly ( Yet) Most may remember I had a cat scan on my kidneys early in July to investigate my extremely high BP..The day I had the cat scan in Adelaide ..I was allegedly photographed on the toll road in Melbourne where I was accused of going through the toll twice in one day,and the day before This was TWO HOURS after I left the X-ray clinic ..Melbourne is about 1.000 km from Adelaide Now that would be speeding Anyway, after ... I ....collected all the evidence they dropped the charges/ fines against me So,that's a bit of a long explanation why I'm happy today ..I don't have to cough up over $500 for something I didn't do .. We don't have toll roads in Adelaide
I should have sent this to the Victorians, who tried to get money out of me for fines ....Allot of South Australians actually "detest" vic's simply because We had the Grand Prix in Adelaide for 10 years and then the Vic's 'stole it from us '
