I'm having a 'fuzzy' day today, don't like them days, can't think clearly and prone to senior moments
Ah well - that's life. Hope your day is as above Xx

Mornin'. Well, this day is starting way better than yesterday morning. Daughter and I spent the afternoon in the ER. I noticed a sudden weight gain and have been having breathing problems. Anyway, that's all been fixed.
Last night the temps were in the low 50's, so I shut off the AC and opened a window. Filling the apartment with cool, fresh air made me sleep much better, despite having to get up every half hour to pee, thanks to the Lasix the ER shot me up with.
Don't know what I'd do without the pair of daughters I have.
My #1 son will probably report in later today with his squirrel kill. He loves them limb-rats.
My other 2 sons live in other towns.
So, have a good, safe day y'all.:)

@Ike Willis sounds like you're counting some of your blessing. It's good you have your children around. They must care greatly for you. Could it be that under all that bluster you're just a ole softy?

@Patsy Faye , when does the heat in your part of the world start to cool off. I kept wondering why you didn't get a small a/c, and then I finally understood that you lived in an apartment in a country that have buildings much older than what we are use to. Maybe your building's wiring can't support the needed electrical load. So I hope it cools off for you soon. That might help you fuzzies. Hope you're having a better afternoon.

@Ina I. Wonder - I think you're right Ina, I feel like I'm sitting in a sauna typing this and if they are right
Tuesday will be even more horrendous. No, we can't have an AC, not allowed here :(
We've ordered the new curtains with blackout lining attached, so we will be able to double up on the blackout
which is supposed to cool things down. By the time we get them, Autumn will be here :p
Never known this heat to go on so long - I feel it more than others, but even my Fabs is feeling the heat ..........

I believe that you are talking about one of my most favorite movies, "Just Like Heaven", and I have watched that several times also, and I enjoy it each time. I just love the beautiful rooftop garden that he makes for her ! !
Even though I would never want to live in the heart of a city in a tall apartment building like that, I do have to admit that I love the idea of a rooftop garden.
Here is the trailer, in case anyone else has missed this awesome movie.

Good Morning, is supposed to be cooler today, and that is good as it has been unseasonably warm. I have a couple of errands to run today, and football is on today so that will be the entertainment du jour.I might also catch some of Oprah's Super Soul Sunday. My team doesn't play until tomorrow though. I hope everyone has a great day, and they spend it how they desire to. Enjoy!:):)

Can youhave at least a fan where you are at @Patsy Faye ? Just moving the air seems to help with being able to breathe better, at least it helps me. I have a small fan on the nightstand that blows air into my face at night, and that helps me to breathe better at night.
If you can have a fan, here is an idea that will turn the fan into a cooler for you, with just a little modification of the fan, and some ice or those freezer blocks that you use like ice. This shows it made with a box fan; but you could use the same idea on any size fan. If you search "cooler fan" on youtube, there are a bunch more similar ideas.

@Yvonne Smith - thank you, yes that's the movie :) really 'special'
Thank you again for the idea of the fan. We have two in the lounge, a large and a small. The problem with fans is
they just blow the humid hot air around the room, so doesn't help
So, I had the idea of freezing a bottle of water and another bottle in the fridge. Placing these inches from the fan on a plate
Great - I thought but, the water soon becomes warm and ineffective
I will check out your suggestion though Yvonne

G'afternoon, Y'all. it's been a busy day, I've been working on chores that I've let slide over the past week or so. Laundry's doing, and brownies are in the oven. I might sneak one or two, but the rest are going to my neighbor and his friend, who just mowed my back yard, thank God. That has been weighing on me. I was able to get the front done, but the back is about twice the size of the front, and it's a real chore with just a trimmer. It was a little better than it could have been, though, because I have been spraying weedkiller. My goal is to get some ground clear and at least get some pathways in it, so there'll be less to maintain and even if it gets a little high, I can get where I need to go. They don't know they're getting brownies, I'm going to surprise them with them, assuming my oven cooperates today. Hope y'all are having a good day. @Ike Willis I'm glad you got to the ER and are feeling better. I wish that weight gain had been from eating too many steaks and desserts.

It's not Sneaking, it's testing to make sure they are of 'giving' quality!
'Homemade' is a payment I have always enjoyed and never passed up.
I have been given numerous items in lieu of payment for jobs done.
Life is more fun with 'Treats'!

@Diane Lane those young men are the kind we don't hear about very often. They probably don't see how much they just relieved one of those little anxieties we build just living. If they do, they get to feel good about themselves, and they will get an unexpected brownies on top of that. You're sweet to let them know you appreciate their efforts.

Mornin'. It's a cool 55 degrees here in the little city on the west bank of the east side shore of Iowa. It looks like I won't be needing the AC anymore. Good. Now my little 2 roomer is filled with cool, fresh air.
I have no major plans for today. Gonna fix breakfast soon. I see eggs, sausage and maybe some hash browns in the forecast.
My computer is running slow. Gotta see if I can speed it up a bit without spending any money.
My little great granddaughter is turning into quite the hunter. She moved up into shotguns last weekend. He little kid sized .22 rifle is getting too small for her. She's 8 or 9 now. My grandson is teaching her well.
My other great grandson's are way smarter than I was at their age. My dad would probably say something like, "hell, everybody was".
Well, it's almost 6am here in the corn and bacon state. I'm hungry. Gotta go eat. :)
