Didn't think of that. Interesting. All I know for sure that hers is probably a more expensive one but both are on the firm side.
If it's bad enough I take a couple Tylenol or something similar, and just tough it out. There's been days I couldn't use my hands, other days knees hurt like help. I look at it as another cost of a misspent life.
Why do you people like suffering when the information has been published years ago. Type in chicken cartilage and arthritis in the search engine and see what comes up especially for RH which is probably the worst. Most arthritis is cause by degeneration of cartilage and when you grow cartilage it goes away.
FYI here: As of today I stopped taking the Rose Hips and went back to taking Glucosamine Sulfate 3x daily. Have figured out that there are vitamin supplements that just don't work on arthritis pain. Told my wife this AM that we are going to start buying Extra Virgin Olive Oil to use when I fry potatoes for breakfast or for our supper. Been using Vegetable Oil for that, but will only use that oil when I make French Fries in the deep-fryer. I also told my wife that I can't believe how much I researching better cooking and better foods for loosing weight and for arthritis pain. Unlike years ago, we now look at how much sugar, sodium, fats, etc is in things before buying them. Once our weather cools down, rain lets up, boat is fixed, we can hit the water and get to the Gun/Rifle Range. A week off in Oct. should find us getting much more outdoor exercise. At least, we hope!
@Martin Alonzo , I did type it in....this is one site. http://www.motherjones.com/environment/2015/11/truth-about-bone-broth Also, you can't just grow cartilage Unfortunately, damage to cartilage is not readily repaired by the body. That’s because cartilage unlike most tissues in the body doesn’t have its own blood supply to bathe damaged tissue and provide factors promoting regeneration. Consequently, surgeons currently employ a technique called microfracture surgery to facilitate new cartilage growth. The surgery is generally performed in young adults who have a tear in the cartilage that surrounds the knee as a result of sports injury and is not effective in patients with widespread cartilage degeneration, or osteoarthritis.
Chrissy I don't believe anything until I can prove it myself and this is one which I have seen personally you can tell all the people who regrow cartilage that they cannot but they will not believe you because their x-ray proved it. The people who bring out this non sense about your body cannot do thing that it has been doing all of your life.
It's the science that says that about growing cartilage, Martin. I don't always believe personal accounts because they usually have a motive. I looked up one person who said his knees improved And then I see he's selling a book on Amazon for $9.99 to tell how he did it. If it was as easy to grow it, everybody would be doing it but it's not. But as long as whatever you do does no harm...then by all means go for it!
When my right hip wore down to bone on bone, I had a chiro tell me he could fix it if I kept coming in for treatments. For a few times, the adjustments lasted 5-6 days. Then 3-4 days. the last one lasted through that day. I went to an Orthopedic surgeon. After x-rays he said the only cure was a hip replacement because that wore out cartilage was never coming back.
An orthopedic surgeon looked at x-rays of my hip and made arrangements for a replacement. Hip was wore down to bone on bone. Doc said the cartilage would never come back.
With all due respect Martin--None of us likes suffering and as far as RA is concerned, it is a Auto Immune Disease and is not helped at all by cartilage infusion.
If I had a problem in my house and ask an electrician it would be electrical if I ask a plumber in would be plumbing. If I ask a surgeon it would be solved by surgery . I had arthritis so bad that I could hardly get in a taxi to see the doctors and after a year of seeing many so called specialist the last being a surgeon who said he would need to operate on my shoulder when I had pain in both shoulders and in both hips and one knee. I asked him how will that fix the pain in my hip and knee he said we will have to do them later. I walked out and never went back now I am without any pain and at 74 no 50 year old can keep up to me. That is not science that is personal experience
Same with me, @Ike Willis. In mid 2004, I found that I couldn't raise my right leg up to swing it over into a saddle. X-ray showed literally no cartilage in the hip socket. Bone-on-bone! I was also walking with a limp, from no cartilage. Was given a cortisone shot, but it didn't work, so hip replacement was done. That has worked since.
You have been reading those medical books again. The people who only make money when you are sick. Rheumatoid arthritis is caused by an infection by a PPLO [pleuro-pneumonia like organism] or mycoplasma that characteristically causes an upper respiratory infection and pneumonitis . It is not an autoimmune disease. This bug love to set itself up in joints and cause inflammation. The treatment for that mycoplasma that the doctors would recommend is Minocycline in the family of tetracycline drugs. Talk to your doctor and tell him you want to try in and see what he says. Ren; It would not hurt to check out the Harvard medical study and also use an antibiotic
