Nuns .................Ha !! We watched the 'Wedding Singer' last night with Adam Sandler and the wonderful Drew Barrymore Fab film
Good Morning, Y'all. Err, Good Afternoon, Y'all. I just realized it was afternoon. I'm back from running errands. It's a hot one out there, heat advisory in effect, as if it's the middle of July. Thankfully I've gotten everything I need for now, and can hunker down here in the A/C with a hot cup of tea, because I have a nasty head/chest cold. Hope y'all are having a good day.
Mornin'. Looks like another warm, pleasant, sunny day ahead, If you like warm and sunny all the time, complete with the bugs, snakes and other bothersome critters. Me, I'm longing for some extreme winter weather to break the monotony. A snow covered scene is far prettier than a rain soaked scene. I forgot to take my bedtime pills last night, so I took 'em with my morning pills. If I turn into some kind of zombie or something later, that's why. Gotta quit renting pay-per-view movies. I did find a good one though. I highly recommend "The Cardboard Boxer". The surprise ending will bring a tear to your eyes, if you're a bawler. We were under a tornado watch last night. I stayed up just to see what I would see. Nothing happened. So, judging by what I just wrote, yesterday was a pretty boring day here in the birthplace of bacon. I'll go now, and see if I can stir up something. Be careful out there.
Was over on the KL site and left a post, or tried to. Got an error message. Was supposed to pick a site, type in my email addy and password, then more info. I chickened out because I never had anything like that before. WTF?
@Ike Willis I got the same message trying to read posts over there. Another hot and humid day today. I've gotta go shopping this morning to stock up on things that we don't really need. Gonna get some lottery tickets while I'm out, we sho nuff need those. 6 days til doctor appointment to see what he'll do with my knee.
Good Morning ALL...I is starting to feel like Fall out there is cool and crisp this AM. I was looking at the extended forecast and it is going to start feeling very cool starting next Sunday, this is just in time for the real Fall. Yesterday, it was a bit humid and we had several rainstorms, naturally I was out in it! I am going to my sister's this weekend, and the weather is apt to feel quite Fallish, and I think Sunday night here may be in the low 50's...Maybe time for the comforter and the flannel sheets...I can't wait!
I think that we are starting to move into fall here in northern Alabama also. The air is not so muggy, and it is cooling down a little at night. Usually the house is around 81 when we go to bed, and up to the mid-80's during the day; but we stay close to the little AC in the front room, or go outside and get into the pool. The forecast shows we will only be in the 80's next week instead of the 90's like we have been for the last 3-4 months. I enjoy waking up to the cooler mornings, and the beautiful fall days when we do not need either hear or air conditioning; but I do not like the dreary, wet days of winter here. I am glad that we don't have to live in snow and shovel that stuff anymore though. However, when @Ken Anderson mentioned the cheap houses up there in Maine, it did give me pause to consider if it would be worth living in snow to actually have our own home. The pump on the swimming pool quit working yesterday. Bobby is looking at it, but he thinks we may have to just replace the pump altogether. since it is almost October, I think that our swimming pool days are about done for this season anyway, and we might as well just drain it for the winter. I am still upset at the idea that Tim Cook (Apple CEO) and Hillary conspired against Samsung to help sell the iPhone 7. That is just a dirty way to sell a product, and I am sad that Apple, which I have admired as an outstanding and ethical company, would do that kind of thing. My estimation of that company has deeply fallen. (More info posted in the Samsung thread in tech stuff, if you haven't read it already. )
You'll get yours soon enough Patsy Faye, before you know it, you will complaining it is too cold...lol. Some of the leaves are coloring now here too!! woohoo!
We only had about one month of summer. So much for global warming. The leaves are turning and the fans are off.
