Good Morning, Y'all. I think the heat advisory will last for about a week. Hopefully after that, things will cool off somewhat, although most people wear summer attire on Thanksgiving here. I'll give my car another go with the refrigerant when my hands are less painful. Once it cools off, that will be a non-issue for the most part, until Spring. I'm having a hard time believing it's only Tuesday, it feels like Friday. Hope y'all are enjoying this Tuesday!
I've lost all hope Another day of muggy heat I will just languish all day, so fed up with it - they said it would be 'autumnal' this week and I was right to ignore that prediction. But seeing the funny side of it all has gone beyond a joke I guess I'll try the wet towels today ................. Hope you all have a peaceful lovely day Xx
Mornin'. It got kinda warmish yesterday and I had to turn on the old noisy coolerator. Just checked the weather forecast. It's supposed to be on the hot side until about Sunday, then we hit a long cool streak, they say. Last night was interesting. I fell asleep way too early because of lousy TV and no good movies on. Woke up about 10pm, watched TV awhile, fell asleep. Woke up at 1am, watched TV awhile, fell asleep. Woke up at 5am and here I is. Well, what's in my appointment book for today? Lets see, Wednesday. I see an opening today from now until about bedtime. Good. I don't like to be rushed or crowded too much. What's for breakfast? All out of cackleberries. Got sausage and hash browns though. Well, I better get started on my busy day.
Good Morning everyone! Too funny, @Ike Willis, I am too busy scrounging around trying to make a buck to have days like that, but on some level I can relate. Anyway, We are still stuck in some kind of frontal boundary, or hurricane remnants or something. Cloud, coolish and humid here. I had sort of hoped to go swimming today, but not if it is like this, I'm not. No matter I have other fish to fry. I should get paid tommorrow, so I will be busy running amuck if that is the case...today just business as usual...have a good one!
Morning All. Slept in. Had a fun night unclogging my back bathroom sink. Grabbed the hand snake and thought " you got this! " I didn't take in to account that it is the oldest fixture in the house and has an old ' tee' joint behind the wall. Took the trap and piping out, in goes the snake and straight up the 'vent' to the roof. After 8 or 9 tries to get the snake to go DOWN instead of up the vent, I took a break. Sitting outside, my wife stuck her head out the back door and asked 'how's it going?' She had of course heard my colorful language in my attempts to clear the line. I answered fine, it's almost done!!! Her answer was ' whatever you say MASTER plumber...' Up from my break, back in the house, one more time and the snake goes down. Clog gone. Sometimes motivation comes in strange forms!
Good Morning, Y'all. 4 minutes left until afternoon . It's warm, but not quite as hot as yesterday. I hope it cools off there @Patsy Faye. I can hear the dog next door whining. I guess he doesn't care to be stuck outside, and I don't blame him. I decided to do some other things before getting on the computer. I hope everyone's having a nice day. Glad to hear your clog is unclogged Tim!
@Diane Lane - I feel for the dogs must be hard going for them too I swore a couple of times today - not like me I have to say, but I got me pent up feelings out and felt better for doing so. Thanks for putting up with me too - hopefully there will be a change with me messages here when I'll be saying how cold it is (I don't like the snow you know) ..............
Ha, I loved the heat when I moved here, but after two heatstrokes and at least one heat exhaustion, I think I might welcome a little snow. Notice I said a little. I hated having to trek through wet, slushy, freezing sleet to and from work every day in Boston, but it might not be so bad if I could just hunker down and play occasionally in the pretty snow. Swearing doesn't bother me in the least, with the exception of the C word. Just get it out and feel better, and hopefully your weather will cool off soon .
Mornin'. Another warm, bright, sunny disgusting day ahead. C'mon cool, rainy, cold, snowy, cloudy days. I've been waiting all summer for the cold, bug killing weather to get here. Yes, I hate bugs. Snakes too. Mostly bugs though. Snakes don't get in your food, eyes, ears and all. Bugs do. Woke up about midnight last night. Turned on TV and watched the riots until about 3am. The NG will be there today. We'll see how that turns out. Supper last night was hash browns and sausage. I soaked that mess with hot sauce and choked it down. Gotta get some more hen fruit. Last night I heard a gurgling noise. As soon as I determine the noise wasn't coming from me, I checked the kitchen. Sure 'nuff, the kitchen sink was full of soap suds. So, I called in a work order for today. The last time that was happening, the sink backed up and overflowed, flooding the kitchen floor. Don't want that mess again. There's lots of hot and heavy verbal skirmish's going on the news websites over election issues. And, I tend to do my best to further pizz off the liberals. Most of them unfriended me on Facebook. I guess the truth really does hurt. Well, gotta go. My coffee mug is MT again. If you gotta go out, wear your body armor. And a helmet.
@Ike Willis - You sure do bring a smile to me face and for that, I won't mention the weather - you can guess anyway
Good Morning, Y'all. It's a sunny one. Happy First Day of Fall! The neighbor was out mowing at 7:30, which I think is a bit early. Thankfully, I was already awake, but I still prefer not to have loud, noxious sounds assail my ears so early in the a.m. I'm enjoying a nice cup of Earl Grey this morning, with a dark chocolate and coconut Kashi bar, yum. Hope y'all have a nice day.
