@Ina I. Wonder - no, not much of a traveller Ina but it sure is nice to get to know people My Dad should have moved to America, American mad he was Pretty girl in the avatar
Your totally right @Chrissy Page, and I know it. I know that if I don't start over I'll truly will become a hermit. There just doesn't seem to be anything I want or need from living here, and I only leave The house maybe three times a month. Not good I know. Plus there is Bobert, who needs to learn that this world is worth coming out of the video gaming world that he spends at least 10 hours a day in. He's been with me now for 7 months, and I can see a huge difference in him already. Maybe before I leave this world I can help him grow up. At 26, it's time.
We both know what's best for us, @Ina I. Wonder ...we just gotta do it. Mentioned your cute avatar in another post.
That was me in 1956. I was standing behind my Dad's '51 Stuedibaker. I can't spell that word. Where is a guy when you need one?
Cute! Were you 4? Spellcheck doesn't work for me on this forum on my ipad...it shows the word is wrong with the red line under it but doesn't give me the right word. Looked it up...Studebaker.
That was taken on my fifth birthday, it will be 60 years ago in December. Have you upgraded to 10 yet? When I did a line of words started to scroll across the bottom, and now it anticipates what my next word might be. Cool at times, but it doesn't do punctuations.
Not on my ipad I haven't. I thought you were a year younger than me....I was 5 in '56. I'm 9 months older than you then.
Yes, the only way I can generally keep up with my age is to think like I was born in '52, because I almost was. I do like the 10 upgrade, it's the first one I've really noticed any real difference with.
@Chrissy Page I just realized that I might be accidentally ignoring you sometimes, because there is no little green dot next to your name anymore, and I think you're gone. So, I apologize now for this. I'll try to check more often for a response.
Oh ya know Patsy Faye it comes and goes...being chirpy you know...some days are just better than others. I like to amuse people. Anyway, I hope that you had a good day. It's Friday so that has something going for it at least I guess, if you like the weekend that is.
@K E Gordon - yep I agree Karen but with a bit of effort (on down days) we can make us all feel better if people will play Weekend ? Not me favourite, its laundry day Saturday and Sunday and we both detest entering that room Never know what we'll find, have to get meself psyched up for that one
Mornin' ladies and gentlemen. Here in ham hock corners it's a balmy 39 degrees under clear black skies. (Still dark out). Anyway, it looks to be a good weekend here. Hope it's nice and dry where everyone is. I woke up hungry this morning. Haven't eaten yet, but am thinking about it now. A plate of sausage and fried eggs is always good. Still got some hash browns. Yep, a plate full of that, all slathered with hot sauce, yummy. Slathered? I gotta quit watching Rachael Ray. Usually, I turn her show on because it's on just before our local noon news comes on. That way, if i'm doing something else at noon, I don't have to go in and change channels. Back to Rachael Ray. I don't especially like her, though I like cooking shows sometimes. She's a liberal, and has a terribly grating laugh. I noticed that at times, she has a favorite word. Awhile back, it was 'clever'. Everything was clever. Her new blender was 'clever', even though the only thing 'new' about it was the color. And now, it's 'slather'. Everything she cooks is 'slathered' in sauce, oil, grease etc. So, I'm off to slather my plate of eggs and sausage with Louisiana hot sauce. Have a great day you all, unless you live in a place being slathered with rain from Matthew. Then, just try to stay safe and dry.
Well hello there I won't be slathering anything Ike - don't like the sound of that ! We opened the curtains, measured them and they are 50 inch wide so not the 48 inch ordered We put them up this morning and they look just fine - phew ! Glad that's over with Here's hoping its a smashing day for you all - laundry duty calls for now ................. Xx
Good Morning all! Thanks for reminding me about the laundry Patsy Faye! That is on the agenda for here today as well! It is going to rain all day here today, partially courtesy of Matthew, and also preceeding a front. Tomorrow, the wind is to be a bit strong, but they say it has less to do with the hurricane and more to do with the front. I have a bit of extra cash so I am going to go to the flea market tomorrow and buy the purse I had my eye on if it is still there. I hope so, it is one of the indoor vendors. I know one time, I had my eye on something and it was gone by the time I went back. I will be sad if no purse...There is nothing else I really want there, well there is, but it is not in the budget.
