Some of us are morning people, but not so with everyone. Hi y'all!! This should have been called the Ga'day thread. It seems like all of us are from different time zones. @Yvonne Smith you'll be proud of me. I made my first online car note. It took awhile, but me and the clerk on the phone set it up. Coool!!! I'm almost giddy.
Good Morning. Probably hit 90° F today. Not a great day to start my beard, but decision made. Got up early to call a friend in Birmingham, UK. Much cooler there. Off to work for a few hours; got to add to the vacation fund!
Mornin'. Running a little late this morning. I guess it don't matter much. I'm retired. I do what I want when I want. Yesterday I ran across a card I got from an X gal pal. I found her on google. Can't decide, should I send her a card or note or just let it lie? We ended on a misunderstanding some years ago. I didn't bother to explain myself then. I'm less able to deal with stuff now, so, moving right along-. A local police officer gave some bicycles to kids in a certain area. The photo shows my great granddaughter Cheyenne, on the right, with hers. She's a happy camper this morning. Another hot night with little sleep. That should end today. Cold front coming through. Fall like temps tonight and on. The maintenance guys were getting the boilers ready for heating yesterday. They'll be switching over from air to heat soon now. Well, gotta go check my liberal traps. Pickings were kind of slim yesterday. Later 'gator. Cheyenne on the right.
@Ike - what a great guy he is ! Fab Cheyenne, wonderful name As for your past friend, I would get in touch definitely, relive old times again, sure Nothing at all to lose Ike, if it goes wrong, (I doubt) you have lost nothing
Good Morning one and all! Cute Pic @Ike Willis Your great grandaughter looks as pleased as punch! I agree with Patsy in terms of the gal pal, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Anyway, yeah, that hottish kind of weather is all over, but the humidity is low being Fall, so not a problem! I am gonna go into the bigger town today though I think and it is always a bit hotter there. They don't have any trees, but after the summer we had, I think I can take it!! I hope everybody has a great day!
Morning Patsy We lost our electric lastnight again, 3 times in 3 days but our rain has let up and the wind as well We didn't get anything too bad in our area lately. Just some thunder/lighting, rain, and I think the highest winds were in the lower 30 mph area
We got a smidgen of rain @Denise Happyfeet but it was pretty windy...about 15 mph which is a lot for here. Alfonso has a lot of leaves to pick up this friday....oh well, I pay him the same amount all year and in the winter there isn't as much work to do.
Hi Ike, It get's easier to let things lie, I know what you are saying. On the other hand, my sister is 74, just last month, and 2 years back she met a guy on Plenty of Fish. She asked me to put an ad up for her, help her, but she never did much with it except look around, got a few letters from guys. One guys wrote her and they met in person after about a week of writing. They've been inseparable since and he is a good man. He had lost his wife about a year before and had taken care of her for years of an illness she eventually died of. He then took over the care (pretty much care) for an alcoholic brother. That's when his daughter put an ad up for him. He saw Jan's and wrote to her, and that's working out so well for them. I never had any luck "looking" and don't anymore. I think I'm too set in my ways (afraid I couldn't adapt to another person living with me) but sometimes I would so love to have someone to walk with, talk with, eat with, LOL! It couldn't hurt for you to write, maybe have a date again. That would tell you if you wanted to have more dates at least I would like to meet someone that was just way comfy to be around Easy going. If we can't enhance each other's lives, who needs more stress, LOL
