Good Tuesday Morning! It's sunny & cool, so that's cause for celebration. Trash is out, tea is made. Cats are fed, and there's still some seeds left out there for the birds, so I'm plunking my butt down here for a bit. Hope everyone has a good one. @Chrissy Page, I hope your tests come out o.k. @Patsy Faye, glad it was a better night's sleep for y'all.
Ahh, yes, the joys of winter sledding. It was all fun and games until you got your boots full of snow. Then when you came home and started to warm up...OUch!!!!!!! I remember those days well! Good times until the frozen feet part that is!! Have a good one everyone!
Well I'm back on my blood draw . I was first in line but I let the lady behind me get in line ahead of me because she had to be at work at 7:30 . My good deed for the day ! It was also her birthday today she turned 65 .
Mornin' good friends. Cool and overcast this morning. I think it rained last night. Coffee sure tastes good this AM. Wish I could have donuts. I had to cut out the sausage. Eggs are ok. Eggs ain't donuts though, so there's that. After retirement, I often post phone breakfast until later in the AM. If it's around 11am, I just call it dinner. Sorry cub fans, but Indians 6, cubs 0. Cubs will choke during this series. Remember where you heard it. So, not much else going on in my world. How about all you folks?
Well Ike - its the dreaded laundry day, just been down there and the den filled me with grizzly bear syndrome Grrrr ! Wish I had me own machine Wishing you all a good day - blues free Xx
Good morning everyone! Shut up @Ike Willis. But yes a bad start for the cubbies. They must win...for my son's sake. This world series is as stressful as the election. 84 today and I think it's the last day in the 80's, hallelujah! I had big plans for today after I felt so good after 5 tubes of blood were taken yesterday...wish I could do it every day....without fasting of course. Might have just been a coincidence.....but maybe I could order leeches online. Haha. Just finished my coffee and now I'm deciding between a protein bar or eggs for breakfast. Leaning towards the eggs. Have a great hump day everyone.
Lol @Patsy Faye ....that kind of turns me on....I would have been a willing victim to Dracula....my maternal grandfather was born in Transylvania....it's in my blood. Moving along.....I made a baby spinach and baby Swiss cheese omelet. Gonna eat it now.
Morning All. Just checked the 7 day forecast and mid 80's till the 4th. Guess I won't complain; warm weather is why we moved from the Midwest. Plans are to help a friend move today and tomorrow. My old pickup truck had a bumper sticker that said: Enjoy the Day.
Good Morning, Y'all. @Chrissy Page, maybe you have Hemochromatosis. That was nice of you to let the woman go ahead of you, especially on her birthday . It's a bright sunshiny day. Everyone's fed, including me. It was a tea, toast and egg kind of day. I'll also be doing laundry today, but probably just one load. I have to strip the bed first, and after I wash/dry the top sheet, I'm going to donate that and it's mate that just doesn't fit my thicker mattress very well. That's why I've got a mismatched set on the bed right now. I'm going to try to knock out some chores around here today if my energy holds up. Hope your laundry goes quickly @Patsy Faye. Have a good day, y'all.
@Diane Lane, I read that and I do have joint pain sometimes and tired. Wouldn't bloodwork show something though? Anyway, I'm going to tell my dr on Monday.
I'm not sure if it comes up under regular bloodwork. It was actually mentioned in the book set I'm reading, so immediately came to mind when you mentioned feeling better after having so much blood taken, because that's what happened with the guy in the books. I think they had to do specific tests to determine that he had the condition. I guess the bloodletting removes the excess iron, so alleviates the pressure on the body. I'd mention to the doctor how much better you felt after giving the blood. Our bodies make new blood when we get rid of the old stuff, so maybe it's something else, but I think it's probably worth mentioning, just in case your doctor has to order different tests for it and/or related conditions.
