Trump is coming to Maine again Friday. That's the fifth time he's been here, plus his kids have been here several times. Trump draws a big crowd despite the fact that there is often very little notice. I just found out today that he'll be here Friday. We only have four electoral votes so we don't generally get this kind of attention. Ordinarily, no presidential candidates come here or, when they do, it's only once. Obama was here once in 2008, I think, and I don't believe either McCain or Romney came during their campaigns. The Romney campaign wouldn't even send signs to the Republican headquarters in Maine.
You know what, Trump is a real trooper if you ask me. He must be run ragged but he shows me "tough", and the fact that he puts in visits, and time to visit States that are practically ignored because of either population/demographics, or like you said Ken, your State has only 4 electoral votes. Good for Trump, again, he shows me I picked the best person for pres
This was something, Michael Moore is strictly liberal I thought, so that last bit of narrative was interesting, and thought provoking. Another attempt by the left or is Michael Moore even being won over by Trump??
When was this video shot? I thought I just read that Michael,Moore just released an anti Trump movie.
This is why I'm such a skeptic when it comes to videos. They are taken out of Context like that one was of Michael Moore. http://www.forbes.com/sites/scottme...e-for-president-hillary-clinton/#36376cde7d87
That is not what I expected from Michael Moore. I know what you mean, @Chrissy Page but don't you think he must have know that this part of the speech would be cut out and used for just this purpose. Certainly, if a Republican or Trump supporter devoted a large part of a speech to saying things that sounded like he was supporting Hillary, it would be used for just that purpose. So I like it. Michael Moore isn't news anyhow. He pontificates, so it seems like fair use to me. If he was trying to hit Trump hard, he made a tactical error. When they do that kind of editing and try to pass it off as news, that's another matter.
I don't understand. I read stuff a little while ago that Moore was saying stuff that made it sound like he was for Trump but knowing Moore...I knew there was more to come...just grabbing attention since he's kind of become a has been. Or never was....in my opinion. Okay, you added more info Ken...I get it now.
New shows have taken things that Trump has said out of context and played them up as news, as they have things that were obviously intended and understood as jokes, when played in context. That is wrong. There should be a difference between the news and political advertising and spin.
I agree. All I'm saying or said was...Ive become very skeptical regarding videos. All videos. TBH! I'm tired of wading though crap to get to the truth. Both sides do it. It's been more biased towards Trump this time but there's been stuff on Hillary too that wasn't true. I hope this isn't a new trend because I don't like it. I hate that I have to first see who posted it to see What slant the video will have, then I have to go and check it out on diffrent sources even sadly snopes which I know slants liberal. Even if something is not what I would like to hear, I want to hear it honestly....no bias or slant.
Why do you think he's coming so often? It's only 4 votes...does he have enough time to spend in the other swing states? Don't know off hand which ones have the most electoral pts. All those maps with the red and blue and undecided states never show the votes each carry. I know CA is 55 and that's the only one I know off hand.
I try very hard to vet things that I post, at least to the best of my abilities and time. I have been fooled, but when I post something that I later learn to be something other than what it pretended to be, I acknowledge that. Unfortunately, the way things have been this election year, there doesn't seem to be a place for neutrality or even a lack of clear bias. I think that even some of those who might be inclined to be fair are feeling like they have to move further to the right in order to balance out the mainstream media.
I know, I try to do the same but it's getting hard and not because its posters that are trying to be deceitful but the media Usually.
I trust whatever I read in Wikileaks, but Wikileaks just gives me the documents, leaving it to me to decide what that might mean. I don't necessarily trust all of the stories or videos that are made on the basis of information leaked by Wikileaks because I have come across some that were fake, using the Wikileaks logo over fake emails or documents to make claims that are not borne out by the facts. I always go to Wikileaks and search on keywords from the supposed documents in order to see if they are actually there, and even then they don't necessarily support the story that is derived from them. For the most part, the stuff they have on Clinton and Podesta are emails, and it's often impossible to read them in context because only one side of the conversation might be available, not necessarily because anyone is hiding the other side but because the other end of the conversation is on someone else's server, and wasn't included in the dump. I can understand why so many people are content to let the media sort it out and let them know what's important, except that the media is taking advantage of that to tell stories that aren't true.
