    That reminds me, I was going to get pork chops when someone else mentioned them awhile back and I forgot.

    I've been out already but forgot something important so may go out in a bit. I have some riced cauliflower that I have to use up so I'll pretend they're mashed potatoes....YUMMY and it's not even lunch time yet here.

    I don't know yet, but since it's cooled down I will be glad to start using my oven for the winter.

    My neighbor's son gave me a mess of fresh okra. I cut it in small pieces and deep fried it. while still hot I ran a batch of fried okra to the neighbor. We both love it fixed that way. Nice and crunchy, served with French dressing. Well tonight is the last of the presidential debates, and I think many of us are numb from this. I know I am. It's going to be hot dogs, potato salad, and a little baked beans. The other night me and Pip had a light dinner, and had room for desert. We had strawberry shortcake that was fixed differently. They took sponge cake and placed in semi-bowl with strawberry juice. This was heated, then cold fresh strawberries on top with a little topping. Sure simple and delicious.:)

    What's for supper isn't important tonight.
    Wife brought home a Key Lime pie.
    Wonder what she's going to have for dessert.;)

    I had ramen last night. I could have sworn I'd bought about 4 cans of soup last time I went shopping, but I couldn't find one, so had to make do with ramen. Tonight I'll have a nice burger on toasted bread if my stomach will handle it. I'm also craving pumpkin pie, and I might make one. I got the craving from all the lovely harvest type recipes I've been seeing, plus I had to open a can of pumpkin for the cats.

    Since my pay didn't make it into my account yesterday, I am stuck eating the stuff I already had around the house, so I used it as an excuse to make pancakes...Creative excuse huh? Anyway, I made them partly with coconut flour, so hopefully that took some of the "sin" out of eating them. I so love pancakes.

    We smoked some more of the salmon filets that my daughter brought over for us last week, and this batch turned out even better than the last batch. We are having a snack supper of smoked salmon and mozzarella cheese, and I had some of my sugar-free jello parfait with whipped cream on top for dessert.
    Bobby is having watermelon for his dessert, and I think corned beef sandwiches. Anyway, it is all good, and we are happy and full and satisfied.
    Even the dogs had some of the smoked salmon and cheese, and they loved it, too.

    Calf's Liver fried up with red onions, saved for later, to be tossed into my "soup" which will consist of Whole Wheat Past cooked together with Zucchini tangied-up with a dash of hot-sauce, all stirred together with 1/2 jar of Cheesy Alfredo White Sauce.

    I have by experience been able to wind up with all the Pasta water absorbed, never drain it, and the result with sauce is nice and thick! YUM!

    Yuk Frank, Why ruin that perfectly good pasta with liver??:D:p, If there is one food I can't stand, it's liver. I don't like it in anything, and if I taste it in something like pepperoni, which has happened..it ruins it for me. Anything that even has a slight liver taste is taboo to me, Liverwurst, Braunschweiger, Pate..No Thank You. I had dinner at Roy Roger's chain restaurant not too many around anymore. I had not been to one for years. After eating there, now I know why...But I think it may have just been this particular restaurant. It tasted like they washed the roast beef just prior to serving or something. It was really pretty flavorless.

    @K E Gordon
    I realize liver is not for everyone, K E. It has a taste different from all other meats. However, as my Dad always said, the best liver must be obtained from the calf before it begins to eat grass. Young calf liver has a somewhat sweet taste much more palatable than Beef liver. Knowing his preference, my Mother always bought young calf liver, though it cost much more. Our Safeway store here has frozen liver specifically called out as "Calf Liver". It's 5 bucks a pound, all in 1 lb. packages.

    Liver fried onions with bacon and lovely gravy is gorgeous @Frank Sanoica. Your recipe certainly sounds different and worth a try :)

    I like liver. Chicken liver and pork liver are best but calf liver is good too. Fried with gobs of onions is the usual way, served with mashed potatoes and gravy. I like liver loaf sandwiches too.
