I don't know what I was thinking. Of course, this thread is the one that is for it. As the returns come in, or any news or interesting things regarding the election come up, feel free to post it, along with your thoughts.
Believe it or not, I haven't been paying attention so far.,..kind of early here, plus I have a slight headache. I'm really surprised at how calm I am, thought I'd be more stressed but now my headache is even gone...might not feel so calm later especially if it's close but for now I'm good. This is one election I'm happy that I don't work for ES&S anymore.
The first polls will be closing in about ten minutes. Some time after that, we will begin to see results coming in.
Hey @Ken Anderson or anyone once again, that uses online sources for news etc., is this site a good one for voting results, ongoing, live etc?? http://www.politico.com/2016-election/results/map/president There was another, I thought, that had a similar website name but I can't find it now
I don't know yet but Politico is saying that the earliest polls will be closing in that many minutes, which would be 6:00 Eastern Time.
Ok...curious. I should have waited before I voted in the poll. Now I'm starting to feel a little excitement and stress...
That's the one I am going to start with. Once results start coming in, I might find another one that brings them in quicker.
For a half hour, I watched CBS election night coverage live and was thinking about leaving it on for the night, but every single thing they said was anti-Trump, and CBS isn't even the worst of them.
Yeah, it takes a while. The polling places usually begin tabulating the early and absentee voting results after the polls close, and results trickle in slowly at first. My town doesn't usually report its results until sometime the next morning. They swear that they work on it all night but I think they go to bed and come back in the morning. This is town of under 3,000 people and they use a machine to tabulate the votes.
Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin. In a close election, Maine is included.
