I started to come in this morning when I heard some awful screeching someone said was Tony Bennett so I went down the street where they had Chuck Berry singing Roll Over Beethoven.
Sorry to have missed you, Sheldon! Next time you stop, pick up a loyalty card with your name on it...for you, the first five will be punched!
Good morning @Joe Riley, I found the cafe's prices to be so affordable that it looks like I can afford to have my breakfast at Hi-goodbye daily. Most places close at least one day a week, so what day will I need to fix my own plate? Also, I noticed a little nook in the back of the dinning area. Do you think we might be able to set up a domino or card gaming table for those of us that might like to enjoy a little more conversation with old friends? This would allow those that are finished with their meal to empty the cafe's needed tables, and your regular customers would still be able to visit with one another. And, since I would already be there, I wouldn't mind lending a hand when the cafe was extra busy. Has @Dave Sun had any time to look into substitutes for those of us that can't eat bread products? I don't mean to be pushy, but there are a lot of us that would be very grateful for something to replace all those yummy bread and pastry products that we are so tempted by. The pumpkin bagels look tempting, but are they based on flour? Is there anything that can be used instead flour?
Yes, Ina we are closed on Wednesdays! I have to leave any muffin questions, for Baker Dave to answer. Sure, you can use the space in the rear nook, for a game table! Good suggestion! Your offer to help is a generous one, but I know you come here to relax!
Buns and donuts for Tuesday morning on their way. All those songs above are great and fun to listen to again. How about the first 45 rpm record I owned....Rock Around the Clock by Bill Haley and the Comets?
American Grafitti. I love this movie and the great music. Thanks, Joe, for the song. I had just worked and made enough money to buy my first record player. Wore out a hundred needles and finally the record gave out.
