I found out Patsy, that I am only up against anyone who signed up on Bear's list!! And he only got there yesterday, so I signed up yesterday. I could have even been the first application for all I know! But you are right, I won't get my hopes too high;) I already talked to a neat, little gal that trains people, well, and the dogs, LOL!! I want my dog to have training. I have learned a lot over the years of being without a pup, and although my Toney was an easy-keeper, I know I need to be sure I work with a dog, to have a well-behaved dog. I guess I'll have to behave too then, lol;)

Good morning to everyone. I have been unable to log on to the forum for a few days, but the problem has been resolved. I am playing catch up! I'm just glad that it wasn't another attack by the UN! Hope you all have a grand day!;)

Can you tell, i can't sleep. It's raining, loudly, but we need the rain, so I'm listening to the music the rain is making.

I finally had to find a new doctor last week. My old doctor just up and moved without any forewarning in October, leaving me without my meds for my thyroid, BP, two heart meds, anti-inflammatory, and the pain meds for my spine, arms and legs. That was over a month without my necessary meds. I had started to feel like the meds were not doing anything, but this episode taught me better.

The new doctor said my BP was up to 185/102, and since my BP was driven by my pain level, I was in danger of a heart attach or a stroke. So I've spent this week trying to get use to all the new meds again.

The new doctor wants to file abandonment charges against my old doctor. I didn't know you could even do that, but I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

So now I'm ready for bed again. Ni night everyone.

Glad you made it back @Joe Riley. I'm looking forward to more of your Christmas decor pics. :) @Patsy Faye what are you up to this morning? Here in Louisiana we are supposed to get heavy rains for the next 3 days so we're hunkered down with enough supplies so that we won't have to make a trip to the store if the weather man is correct. Today is Christimas love Movie marathon day for me. God (yes I have Him too. :)) and my popcorn and my box of kleenex ready for those movies. I should be making a list for Christmas shopping since I haven't bought one gift yet, nor put up any Christmas decor either. But I have to be in the mood to do those things...and I'm just not yet.

Hope everyone, everywhere, has a beautiful day!

Wow Ina that really was wrong of your old Doctor to do that to you... and I'm sure a lot more of his patients too. I'm glad you were able to find a new one and I hope he will be a good Doctor for you. Take care of yourself and sweet dreams. :)

Mornin'. Looking out the window of my 3rd floor alley view apartment, I see a garbage truck. I also see, it's December 3rd. and there's still no snow.:( The good news is, it's only 34 degrees this Am. and getting colder every day.:)
So, It's Saturday. That means crappy TV for today and the next day. TV is pretty crappy lately anyway.
However, like him or not, Donald Trump certainly is entertaining to watch. I pray he'll do well as president.
Yesterday at mid afternoon, I got so bored, I did my laundry. I'm a day ahead of schedule now. I almost wish I still had a job.
Did I ever tell you about when I worked at a factory that made wooden window sash and wood interior/exterior doors and molding for around doors and floor mop boards?
Well, up until I was about 6-7 years old we lived 2 blocks from this factory. It was about 3 blocks long, with railroad tracks behind it. On the other side of the tracks they had their warehouses. The company's name was Roach & Musser.
Before WW2 my dad and all of my mom's family worked there. When dad came home, he went back to work there. Years later dad went to work at the ALCOA plant in a town up river.
A year after I left high school I went to work at R & M, as we called it. It was great. I felt like I was working with family. Everyone who had been there a few years knew my dad and remembered my mom's dad and uncles. One of my old school mates worked in the same department as I did.
Our job was to stand by a bench and when the saw operator cut off enough pieces, we would gather up as many as we could carry, take them to the back of the room and sort them according to size, place them on pushcarts as high as we could reach.
It took awhile for our benches to fill up, so some of us would stand behind the piled high loads and match quarters. We sometimes flipped our quarters up and let them land on the floor. My partner flipped his quarter up, watched it come down and disappear. It hit the floor on it's edge, right on a crack between the worn wooden floor boards, through the crack and gone forever. A one in a million thing.
There was a guy there called Mac. He was a bit odd, and when he got mad he was oddly crazy. Mac used to show up in the mornings wearing a pair of highly polished dress shoes. Then, he would change into work boots he kept under his work bench. One day a guy called red, got there before Mac. Red nailed Mac's work boots to the wood floor. Mac instantly knew who did the deed. Grabbing a hatchet off his work bench, Mac went looking for Red.
Stuff like that went on every day. I looked forward to going to work.
So, if you have a job like that, enjoy it all you can.:)

Good morning everyone. I just got through ordering some jigsaw puzzles to help us pass the time on these cold winter days ahead:eek:. What do you folks do on when it's too cold outside? My wife and I read, watch tv, play cards Chinese checkers or dominoes, and work jigsaw puzzles. Not all at the same time.
