Ha, that's adorable @Denise Happyfeet! Good Morning, y'all. The birds are chirping outside my window. The sun is shining. The birds and cats have all been fed, and I even gave treats to the kitties and also the strays down in the yard. They are all quite happy now. I have one more grocery run to make before Christmas, but I'm waiting for some money to come in first. I'm hoping I remember to buy more treats, as well as a few things I need for the actual holiday dinner. I'm having coffee today, which is a nice treat. It's not every day I can drink coffee these days, so I really appreciate when I can. It's quiet in the 'hood this morning so far, no dogs going crazy. I raked the driveway the other day, and the dogs were going nuts. I gave something away on Freecycle the other night, and I'd placed it out front, just inside of my gate. I'm sure the lady probably almost had a heart attack when she picked it up, because the dogs next door were acting as if they were going to tear the fence down to get at her. Although she seemed very appreciative of it, I'm sure she'll probably never come back to pick up another item. On the plus side, thefts are up in the neighborhood, and I'm hoping the dogs keep the thieves away from my yard/driveway. Hope everyone's having a nice day.

Mornin'. It's 32 degrees at 5am here in river city, under clear skies. That sucks, being that warm on the second day of an Iowa winter. TV was equally sucky last night too. Went online awhile. OK, I won't say it again. Well, that's all I got. Behave yourselves. If you can't behave, people will think you're a liberal.

Good Morning Everyone. I'm so thankful this morning to have my Christmas spirit back. Yesterday I finally made it to the bakery in Albertsons to order and help design our Happy Birthday Jesus cake that I will pick up on Christmas Eve. I'll make sure I take a picture of it to share before with y'all before we eat it all. Today I have to get out again because I haven't bought our Stealing Santa game gifts yet. We are supposed to get things we would want for ourselves but that the others would also want for theirselves so they will steal them from you and then you get a few chances to steal them back before we all find out who ends up with what. I'm having a problem thinking of what to get this year because we have enough stuff filling our home now and I can't think of anything we would need or want that the others would want to steal. So I'm probably just going to go with my first thought and get a gift card for our favorite pizza place (and theirs too) and five scratch off tickets that you can win up to $100,000.00 on ( we could all use that to). We will probably end up with those gifts but that will be fine with us, as I love eating places gift cards and we both would not be unhappy if one of those scratch offs said we won $100.000.00. Christmas over here will be a warm one again this year...and weather wise I don't care to much for that. It just doesn't feel like Christmas to me unless it is cold outside. But whatever the weather it is still Christmas and I hope all of you have a very Merry and Joy filled Christmas this year.
@Ike Willis - not a pretty sight is it Weatherwise it's very warm here - like to know where I stand weatherwise, we have the heating on and can't turn it down or off ! Really don't like storage heaters at all
Good morning everyone! Older boys start Christmas vacation today...HELP! It will be 60 here on Christmas Day which has me upset because it will be cooler in California...I wanted a cold snowy Christmas! I'll be sweating in my snowflake Christmas pajamas.
