A New Years Eve party might not work, anyway. it's New years day at Kate and Holly's house way before it is at my house. There is an hour difference between my and Louise's house but that we can deal with. How can we have a party that everybody can be at?

OMG Kate...I would have told the mother where to get off. Who does she think she's talking to?..especially to grandparents on a pension and not time to try and ...argggh...sometimes I really hate people... Fortunately, and touching wood here..I have never ever suffered from flooding in my home...except one time when the bath leaked and brought a corner of the kitchen ceiling down. Our living room colour is wood and wall.. Yes, the walls are knotty pine for the lower half of the whole house, actually including the upstairs, and dry wall for the upper half which is painted off-white for the rest of the house.. We have NO intentions of changing the colour, however we are talking about having the house painted fresh when we are going to sell in a few years.. Just the dry wall, of course.. The fact our walls are split makes it more country which we just love.. Similar wood around the windows and doors.. All of our doors in the house (except the outside doors) are French folding doors that are stained wood as well.. No solid doors at all including the large cupboards.. Wow !!! What an answer.. I think I went a bit overboard on the answer.. SORRY !!!! Do you make your own homemade burgers or do you buy the ready made frozen ones??? I use ONLY minced chicken or minced turkey to make my own burgers, and then I freeze them for the BBQ...
I never buy ready made ,I like to know what's in my food ,I buy beef mince from Costco they have the best tasting mince and almost fat free Do you eat rolled oats (porridge)
Absolutely I like porridge .... As a matter of fact, I will be having some for breakfast this morning.. I use only the cooking type and NOT the instant type.. I like my porridge with cottage cheese and sour cream.. sometimes with brown sugar, but not often.. Do you have dry cereal that comes in a box for breakfast?? I don't buy that as we don't eat that at all....
I have to admit occasionally to having frosties or rice krispies...I get a craving for them once or twice a year. I also eat porridge btw...and never the instant type either *yuk* that is so horrible.. Do you traditionally go out anywhere on New Years Day? (not Eve) but NY's Day..

Holly... The Rose Bowl parade takes place in Pasadena California and has floats decorated with millions of real flowers.. It is extremely interesting to watch, however it could become boring after some time.. It has been going on ever since I was a kid.. Shall we call it.............................. "TRADITION" ....... As far as the vacation goes, NO.. It will depend on our health, ideas, weather, and what is going on in our lives at the time, but it won't be something elaborate.. There is a possibility I might need a shoulder replacement operation which puts a stop to any plans.. With New Years Eve here, do you plan on drinking alcohol drinks to bring in the New Year.. Personally, we don't touch drinking at all...
No I have no plans to drink alcohol for new year, or any other time , I can't stand the taste. However my husband will do enough drinking for both of us I'm sure... Do you use a wired or wireless mouse?...I use both...
I use to use the wired mouse all the time but ever since I heard of the wireless mouse, I use that now, only thing is having to change the batteries periodically .. but sometimes I do miss the wired mouse as it seems to be quicker on clicking on something, and with the wireless mouse I have to press a wee bit harder but im still happy with it,, my desk is small so the wire was a real pain really and I need all the space on my desk that I can get.. Holly , you forgot to answer your own question, dear ,wireless or plug-in? Do your make any kind of New Year resolutions for the new year and if so, do you really stick to those resolutions?
