I went to bed last night and it was 2016 and when I woke up this morning it is 2017. Could someone tell me where that year went in one night? Well happy new year to everyone.
Good Morning Everyone! I can't speak for each of you but for me personally 2016 has been a wild roller coaster ride that I am glad to see ending. May 2017 be a better year all around then the one we are leaving behind and may we all find in the New Year exactly what we each need in every area of our lives.
Bbbbbut......The muslim calendar says it's still 1439 and the Hebrew one says it's 5778 and we have to wait until Sept. for those to change. The meaning? We can pick and choose whatever and still be pretty much right.
It is now 2017 AD that means it was 2017 years since Jesus died. Why celebrate his death and not his life or are they glad he is dead?? Sorry my mind works overtime.

Some theologians offer that Jesus was crucified 6 years after. In other words, he died in 6 Anno Domeni which also means that it is 2011 years After Death.
"The term anno Domini is Medieval Latin, which means in the year of the Lord but is often translated as in the year of our Lord. It is occasionally set out more fully as anno Domini nostri Iesu (or Jesu) Christi ("in the year of Our Lord Jesus Christ")".
It is funny they use the term BC before Christ and AD after death Christ but they have no term for when he was here.
A very good morning to everyone I finally woke at 7:30am and feel slow this morning, I had a riotous day with the family yesterday which probably has a lot to do with it, there were 10 of us almost all that's left of my immediate family now, we had so much silly fun and lots of laughs which was a good start to the new year......
