. My daughter in law in Illinois has the same set up...except the doors are the way they should be but she's taller than I am and when I did my laundry there I had to stand on tip toes to see what setting I wanted. It's a newer machine with a million different settings etc so it wasn't like I could just assume the right one. Her washer was on top and the dryer was on the bottom....I think.
I had to get out our little step ladder to reach the buttons on the dryer too @Chrissy Cross...and I'm 5' 6"
I'm only 5'4" so you can imagine how hard it was for me. . I could have gotten one of the grandson's stepping stools but I just hoped that I chose the right setting and didn't shrink anything. My daughter in law is 5'7" or even taller and my son is 6 ft. So it's not a problem for them. They used to have their old machines side by side but needed more space in the laundry room so with the new machines they did it on top of each other.
Good morning to you all I somehow mislaid Tuesday and Wednesday was a blur, but Thursday is pretty good, we have just spent the morning walking around the cave temples here, and stopped off at a German bakery to have an American breakfast with a couple of special beers which is served in mugs because alcohol is not easy to get in South India...I will catch up with you all soon, meanwhile a couple of photos of the breakfast, and last nights special beer, I have caught the sun already.......it's 2:30 pm and we are going by tuk tuk to a model village of historic houses now .
Good Morning Everyone! I figured since I'm seeing my new Heart Specialist this morning I might as well share a little Doctor-Patient humor this morning. I'm hoping after my exam, etc. I will have some humor to share and some good news too. Have a blessed and peace filled day.
Good Morning, Everyone. Oops, good afternoon. Happy Thursday! We've been having torrential rains for a few days. Parts of Houston and some of the surrounding areas were/are flooded. We're not flooded here, but the rain has been very heavy at times. I got some pictures yesterday of a Cooper's Hawk in the yard behind me. I don't think I've ever seen one before, although I have seen a few unusual birds around here occasionally, especially when the weather is not normal. I enjoyed seeing the hawk, but I'm going to skip putting seed in the feeder for a few days, to make sure it's moved on. The sun just broke through the clouds, so maybe the rainwater will start drying up. Hope everyone's having a nice day .
Good morning to you all, it's 8:30 am on Friday and warming up at 25c already, we are on the move to our next place in Pondicherry this morning, its only about 65 miles down the coast and a taxi is taking us there at 12 noon, before that we are going to an ancient site of a temple called "Eagle Temple" at 9 am. I will catch up with you all later.... Here is a video of the last part of a 30 minute Tuk Tuk ride I took last night on our way back from the museum......have a great Friday...
Good morning Terry - looks a bit dodgy walking about there ! I wouldn't stand a chance as I tend to 'veer' Wishing you a good day @Terry Page
Mornin'. Can't sleep. Too excited about the inauguration I guess. Getting this excited over a political activity isn't normal for me, but this isn't your run-of-the-mill election. It's something for history books of the future to devote chapters to. Anyway, i'll be watching off and on all day. The weather here is pretty mild. 37 degrees at 3:30am. It's more like spring than winter. Just ain't fair. Well, drank a pot of coffee already. I been thinking, again. They have successfully miniaturized cats, dogs, horse, cows and what all. I've been looking at them, mostly to see how small they can get the critter down to. My favorite animal is the elephant. I would love to see them being bred down to the size of a big dog. I'd have to have one. Imagine the looks from people as you take your elephant for a walk. That might be a way to save the planet. Start miniaturizing every living thing. Get elephants down to the size of a big dog. Dogs down to mouse size. People down to squirrel size etc. Shut up Ike, you're babbling again. OK. Later.
