@Ike Willis - Good Story, Ike! Here's one, even Shell Scott would enjoy! San Leandro police: Suspect arrested in apparent pallet-theft homicide.
We spent the whole day in a canoe on the backwaters here where all of human life goes on....we stopped off for breakfast at one house and lunch at another.........here are a few photos preparing fish with a hopeful crow waiting for scraps Washing the dishes... Working in the rice fields.. We went for a walk along the bank of one waterway to an old temple, and stopped off for an amazing thali style lunch at a home on the way back to the canoe, we ate it on banana tree leaves our oarsman collected on the walk. All the dishes were home made from local fruits and veg plus fish caught nearby that morning. The whole trip was amazingly calming, and I will upload a video later to give you some idea of the atmosphere...
Mornin'. I'm off to a bad start today. Was feeling pretty crappy until about 10 am. There was a lot I needed to do today too. Oh well, there's always tomorrow. Y'all behave now.
Hi everyone! Today was my monthly doctor's appointment, and they got their blood samples in only three tries. YEA. But I've already lost the pounds I put on over the holidays. I never thought that would be a problem. I hear you ladies about the baby girls. My father was one of 13 boys. My half brother and sister had boys, just as I did, so baby girls were precious. Of my 9 grandchildren, 4 were girls, and it was very hard not to go overboard everytime I passed the little girls sections of department stores. Now I have 4 great-grandchildren, and two are girls. The oldest is seven in a couple of months, and the picture below is the latest GGD.
Good morning to you all it'a 10am here and we are on the move for the last time on this trip to Trivandrum a 3 hour train journey, where we fly from on Friday. Have a great Tuesday...
Here is the canoe we were in yesterday... : ....and on the bank where we had breakfast....me and my Kite (Kerala bird of prey)
You're looking health and happy @Terry Page. I've enjoyed your and Lisa's trips very much. You have given many of us a chance to see different parts of the world, and from the viewpoint that we ourselves might have been able to if we were to have the opportunity. So keep your pictures and videos coming.
Everyone Xx Hope Ike is feeling better today Terry, I guess you're on yer way home - good journey to you
Good evening from me......it's 9:30 pm and we have had a strange day, starting with a phone call from our landlord, saying there was a strike over some political matter, which meant everything would be closed until 6pm, all taxis, buses, shops and restaurants, so the whole town was dead. We walked a lot visited a temple and ended up at a Government Handicrafts Centre, which though closed a part of it was opened up for us to buy things which we did, Lisa bought a couple of tablecloths, a dress and several bags, I bought a couple of purses for my daughters......we came back to the apartment drank rather a lot of beer and crashed out ............upon waking we decided to treat ourselves so took a taxi to the Hilton Hotel and had dinner there, a sort of designer fish and fries with a mushroom and pea sauce, which was actually delicious and good to have a non spicy meal for a change.....we finished with a kind of caramel custard which was lovely as well..... The Handicraft Centre: The Restaurant: Lisa thinking of food at last.... The Dinner...
