The basis of working is doing some labor needed for payment in return. To make some extra money one will always have to perform in one way or another to establish an income.

Although new to making money online from home or anywhere with an internet connection, I am a firm believer of it's possibilities. There are many websites which offer compensation in return for content or blogging. Such a opportunity is available due to advertising and traffic. The point being that it is possible to make some extra side money online however it does take time and patience. With websites online such as Newslines, SigTrack, Amazon Mturk, BonzoMe, or even with Tsu.co.

There are a lot of earning opportunities online, but many of them are only for people living in the US or a few other select countries. As I live in South Africa that means my opportunities are rather limited.

I've got small portfolios of photos on a few microstock sites and earn a bit of passive income from those despite the fact that I haven't uploaded anything new for a few years. I stopped because I lost confidence in my ability to meet their increasing technical demands.

Most of my online income over the past couple of years came from a writing/blogging site called Bubblews, but things have gone horribly wrong there lately and many members have given up on the site because it seems to pay selectively. I've been trying out a few similar sites, but I've yet to convince myself that any of them are going to be worth the time and effort I'm putting into them, so I'm constantly on the lookout for new opportunities.

You've mentioned a few that I don't know, so I'll have to see whether any of them are suitable.

There are opportunities to make money online if you have the skills or if you are willing to learn the skills needed. My online income has come from posting on some sites. Not alot enough to use as fun money. If I was a website designer I am sure I could make more money.

My wife and I have been earning our living online for fifteen years now, and she was earning a living online before we were married. It is quite possible to earn a fairly decent living online, but I think you almost have to concentrate on things that you enjoy doing, and you've got to keep plugging away at it. In order to earn an living online, like anything else, you do have to learn the skills, however.

Anyone who has anything to say can build a website, given WordPress and all of the WYSIWYG web editors available. Domains are cheap, and hosting is cheap, so anyone who has something to say and the ability to say it in an interesting way can make money through Google AdSense, an Amazon.com associate account, or affiliate marketing. Of course, it might take some time to build up enough traffic to begin earning an income. I have about forty sites up and several others in various stages of being built. Without learning skills that you may not already possess, that's probably the best way to make a few hundred a month, or more, depending on how much work you might want to put into it. Don't misunderstand me; if you've never built a website, whether you're using WordPress or a web editor, there is a certain amount of learning that will have to be done, but you can build a website without learning HTML or any other coding languages.

I've been working in web directories for several years, and I don't know that there is a lot of demand there beyond those of us who are already doing it, although I get offered jobs that I don't have time to do sometimes. That's where my main income comes from, but I've been doing it for a long time. Those who are able to research and to write well can pick up some money doing content writing, some through content mills which pay them only a few dollars for an article, others peddling their services in SEO forums, while still others have their own websites from which they offer their services. I have bought content through all of these means, and I can tell you that many of the people who are charging for content writing are anything but the best writers in the world, but there are also those who do quite well. I've also done some content writing for pay, and there are certainly pros and cons in doing that for a living.

One very simple thing that can be done to earn gift cards is to use Bing as a search engine. In my directory work, I do searches for a living, and I get better results from Bing than I did from Google, and I earn points from Bing that I can redeem for Amazon.com gift cards, as well as to a bunch of other places. I have cashed in several $5 gift cards, so that, while it isn't exactly earning a living, has come in very handy. I also do YouGov polls once a week, or more. The polls are mostly interesting, and take only a few minutes, and I can earn gift cards through that as well, although a lot of polls have to be answered for a $50 gift card.

I've been earning money from my daily activites online for around 10 years now. You should know that not all opportunities are what they appear to be and some of them are scams. Avoid anything that promises you a luxury lifestyle for doing something simple for a few minutes each day, or anything offering big money for sharing a link.

If you want to earn extra money or a regular income, you should focus on finding tasks that involve some skill. You can find paid work as a transcription typist or virtual assistant. You can make money from your hobbies by selling your own crafts, making videos or sharing photos. You can be paid for writing, designing, marketing and posting olnine.

There are also companies that pay for secret shopping, website testing, surveys and viewing ads.

My main source of income comes from a site where jobs are listed by people who need articles, blog posts, product reviews and other types of written content.

Unfortunately that's just one of many opportunities that aren't available to people in my country. I've tried to find another search engine that offers payment, but failed to find one.

I'd love to start my own website, but I can't think of a subject that I could focus on well enough to keep it running for long. Maybe I need to get other aspects of my life in better order and then the idea will come to me. For now I just have to struggle on, trying to earn bits and pieces online as the opportunities arise.

There are some things out there that pay around $15 per hour if you have minimal skills such as search evaluation and remote customer or tech service. It looks like if you need more income than that you have do sort of develop your own niche and sell things. A lot of people sell small books or manuals about a particular subject relatively cheap and make a pretty good living with volume.

Blogs require constant updating, but regular websites can be built to impart whatever information you might want to share on a particular topic, and then can be ignored for long periods of time, although it's always good to add something new once in a while.

There are various different sources of income online. Usually you can't just put your eggs all in one basket. You have to have several different types of things that you do daily. Mostly you have to think of it as a real job just like any other. It won't be easy and a lot of work is required but I have seen many people make enough income from online sources to live comfortably on.

I work online... started a few months ago. I have been attempted to do tasks on one site but I am having a very difficult time how to find certain information that is requested to complete the task. Can anyone suggest a book for dummies who work online?

I found this online to better explain what I'm trying to accomplish.

    • How to perform keyword research and competition analysis so that it’s literally impossible for you not to make money.

I have been writing part-time online for some extra income and think to be more active when i retire next year from my day job. Having an online job is nice but just as hard as working in your day work. It takes time, hardwork and also fleeting and temporary compared to your regular job. In an online work, you are as good as your last project .

One site that I have been earning gift cards for Amazon or cash is Swagbucks, I look at videos and complete surveys. It is not alot of money but it does come in handy when you want to go out for a cup of coffee for a friend, or save the gift card for a large gift later.

I have been working to brand myself with my own blog as an insurance agent in the senior market, I need to get more established online with a facebook page and linkedin social media is now the way to prospect.

I signed up for Swagbucks; but have not really done anything with it yet.
I do some of the online surveys, too, and enjoy when I can get an Amazon GC for that.
I also really like BzzAgent. They do not pay you for anything; but they do send you all kinds of products to try just for writing a review about the product. I have done this for a year or so; and they have snet me diifferent food items to try, and even a bag of dog food that my dogs loved. It does not cost to join, and you fill out a survey so they know what kind of products that you are interested in.

I was writing on Bubblews; but it seemed like the people that I followed from there were not writing any more because they were not getting paid, and others have said that Bubblews is actually going under.
In any case, a friend of mine from there sent me the link to a website that is similar to Bubblews
it is callled Elite Visitors, and they have a cashout that is only $25 instead of the $50 that bubblews has.
It also has a referral program, and that is always good. I don't know yet exactly how the referral program works (just signed up today myself); but they gave me a referral link.
Here is the link if you are interested in writing on Elite Visitors. It looks like you can write about whatever you want; just like Bubblews.

I'm a former Bubblews member too. The site cancelled a lot of redemptions because they claimed they were losing money and couldn't afford to pay them all. That's when I stopped writing there, but I wasn't prepared to accept the loss of what they owed me without a fight, so I complained to the Better Business Bureau of San Francisco and they got me some of the money Bubblews owed me.

I'l already a member of Elite Visitors, so I'll look out for your there.

Thanks Yvonne Smith for the information on Elite Visitors. Swagbucks gift certificates and surveys can add up quickly but you need 2500 to get cash to your paypal account. They also have a referral program that I have no idea about how it works.
