OH no that is definitely not Haggis Steve,,, ..Haggis is not a pudding, it's a lightly spiced meat course almost sweet definitely not bitter, and would definitely not be served with cream. I wonder what on earth you were given, it sounds horrible, no wonder you didn't like it
@Holly Saunders the stuff I tasted was nothing short of disgusting It was as described by Steve, almost like a dark coloured fritz ..processed yuk ..I know it left a real fatty coating on the roof of my mouth ...all I can say is a BIG NO THANK YOU My favourite Hollywood star was Tony Curtis Do you watch the morning news on TV
Either way , if Haggis is something that Kate and Steve tried I would not try it,, but I would maybe try what Holly described only because it sounds like Spam which I do ,like but only in very small quanities I make a wonderful mac salad that I add diced apples and diced spam then the typical may and onions. it really tastes pretty good that way. some people slice spam an fry it , I would not like that much spam at once. LOL. And yes , I do watch the morning news along with my cup of coffee.. but its our morning local news and sometimes they will broadcast any other important news elsewhere in the state or the USA.. Do you ever go to go to the Library anymore? or maybe you never did , but was just wondering, for a while I was going once a week because I was reading a book that had continual books by the same Author, all fiction but the story books were hilarious! I do not like murder mysteries,.. I only like books that make me laugh..
Yes I borrowed a book a few days ago ,on making different types of fermented vegetables Do you make any preserved fruits or Vegtables when in season ,I think most of you know I do
and your very good at it Kate, a pro.. my answer is no. I do recall making some 7 minute dill pickles in my microwave once. ..lol does that count..? I will pass your question to the next person cuz I do not do any kind of preserving and maybe someone else does. maybe Shirley? I think,, I recall her making something that she sent me but forgot what it was now..LOL
Yes and no as far as preserving goes.. We have a small rhubarb patch that had decided to start producing rhubarb like crazy every year.. Now, there is just so much rhubarb we can eat, so I started cutting up the stalks into small chunks and freezing them in huge freezer bags.. I now have a few huge bags of frozen rhubarb in the freezer that I must do something with soon as there will be another crop as soon as the weather permits.. I have been giving away most of the first crop of rhubarb to a friend who likes it and uses it up.. The only thing I make with the rhubarb is a compote.. I don't know what else to do with it... Cheese: Are you a cheese lover?? Do you cook with it?? Do you just enjoy it plain?? Do you like the mild cheese or the more flavourful ones?? Do you buy the commercial cheese or do you buy the specialist ones?? We here are very big cheese eaters.. Mozzarella for both cooking and eating, Cheddar, and old cheddar, are popular for eating and cooking.. I often buy blue cheese to eat.. Feta for some salads.. Parmesan as a garnish as well as cooking.. Gouda and Swiss for eating..
@Louise Williams , no honey this is nothing like Spam this is spam... at least it is here... Haggis is nothing like that, ...but perhaps if kate and steve tasted real haggis in the UK, they might change their mind...
Yes I like cheese...don't eat a huge amount of it, but I like blue cheese , Camembert and Stilton...not too keen on cheddar, it's too acidic... I quite like Havarti but I only ever have it when I'm in Spain it goes nicely with sun ripened tomatoes for breakfast .. Do you take pictures whenever you take a trip even if it's only for a day ?
NO... I am the last of the photographers.. I can go away for a few weeks camping and not even take the camera along.. Do you believe that the most important meal of the day is breakfast and do you have a really good breakfast ???? Almost every day I make a 3 egg omelette with turkey bacon for my wife while I have 3 scrambled eggs with either some mushrooms or cheese and sometimes a sausage as well.. First a glass of orange juice.. A pot of freshly brewed coffee.. This usually happens somewhere between 11:30 and 1:00pm as we get up late.. Upon occasion, I will have a bowl of porridge (oatmeal) with cottage cheese and sour cream.. Princess will have her porridge with brown sugar and cream..
Yes I absolutely do agree that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Due to medication I have to take, I can't have breakfast until over an hour after I get up...so on my days off, I make a good brunch...and on work days I grab a piece of banana while I work..but I like nothing more than going out for breakfast/brunch... it's one of my favourite things to do. With kindles, and computers taking over the world, do you still read proper hardback books?..
Sadly, not often. I fought it as long as I could but I finally succumbed to temptation and now I read mostly on my Kindle. Have you read Fifty Shades of Gray?
No...I hate any kind of fiction....especially romantic fiction... If you could only have one tv programme to watch what would it be?
Call me a big kid ,but I like watching David Attenborough ..( but I rarely do because hubby can't stand his voice ) .If I had the chance I'd like to watch mostly documentaries Think I will pass the same question on to the next player
I'm with you Kate I love documentaries... I'll pass this on again to someone else... same question....
CSI : New Orlean What do you think should happens to people who abandon their pet on the side of the road?
