Good morning to you all I awoke suddenly at 6:15 and was pleased to find I had no aches and pains from yesterdays work, this morning I have a dentists appointment for a check up plus a filling to a tooth I think I have damaged. I also have to go to the Doctors, but that's just to sort out vaccinations for our Peru vacation in July, evidently Yellow Fever is rampant there at the moment. After this brief bit of socializing it's back to the floor installation.. Have a great day everyone “Papavers” (1899) by Franciszek Żmurko Plus a spring morning, being ever hopeful...
@Terry Page - looking good Terry, your poor knees and oh the chaos of it all We will all be pleased when its finished for you and you can sit back and relax, admiring your work of course
Woke up this morning without my body parts aching so I'm guessing the weather pressure systems are breaking up or moving on. I still have the allergy sniffles but I can live with that. Called my Dentist yesterday afternoon though and told them I had been sick all weekend and wasn't well yesterday and asked if they thought I should change my appointment since they would be cleaning my teeth I didn't want to spread any germs I might be carrying to them. They thought that was an excellent idea and made me an appointment for next Tuesday for me and even thanked me for being considerate of their health. Now I'm enjoying a mug of green tea with coconut oil and a splash of peppermint mocha creamer. It tastes really yummy this morning. It's going to be overcast all day with rain predicted in the afternoon so it will be a good day to read some more of the book I started a few days ago. And I'm going to make homemade chicken noodle soup today which should be soothing on this stomach of mine that hasn't wanted much of anything to eat these past few days. It's a good day to be good to yourself as well as to others and a fine day to give thanks for those who have brought love and joy to our lives. Have a blessed day everyone.
Oh yeah...a nice bowl of chicken noodle soup warms your tummy and is actually a natural antibiotic, if you add enough seasoning it will even clear your sinus passages.
Thanks, very thoughtful of you. Yesterday my sister in Colorado texted she wished she could be here to take care of me...that touched me also.
Good morning to you all it's still dark here and I woke at 5:30am so a tad early.......yesterday's appointments didn't go quite as expected, but they could have been worse. I need a crown on one of my back teeth which has a small crack, though it wouldn't normally have been done in the time left in my the UK which is less than 2 weeks now, my dentist rang the lab and managed to rush through the process. I have a couple of appointments set up starting this Friday. My doctor informed me that they don't give yellow fever vaccination to anyone over 65, because the side effects are almost as bad as the fever itself and could be dangerous. We consulted the map and found we are only spending 3 days in the area where the fever is present which is the Amazon rainforest on the border with Bolivia, so she advised extra vigilance against getting bitten by mosquitoes, who evidently carry it from monkeys. I hope you all have a great Wednesday..... "Tenby" (UK) by David Howell
Blessings this morning. It's 3am and I couldn't sleep so I'm having a wonderful cup of coffee this morning. Although I've given up having coffee ever morning because of irregular heart beats which caffeine can aggravate, I treat myself to a not very strong cup of coffee with flavored creamer now and then and enjoy every drop of it. I'm hoping to hear from the Allergy Doctor's Office today. I called my Primary Care Physician's Office yesterday and asked them to send in a referral as soon as possible because the Receptionist at the Allergy Doctor's told me they would be able to get me in for testing, etc. next Tuesday if they receive the needed referral and info from my PCP quickly. I have had allergies/asthma for most of my life and took shots to build up my immunity to allergens at one time which really helped me. Louisiana is a really bad place for those who have allergy problems and since my Honey and I moved moved back here from Florida, every year my allergies have been getting worse and I am not able to spend much time outdoors without loading up on allergy meds which do nothing more than act like a bandaid and when that bandaid falls off I'm sick with sinus and respiratory infections...and asthma problems. I am no longer able to enjoy gardening, or spending time sitting on our porch watching the birds and squirrels feed and play in the bird bath, etc. And I don't want to live like this anymore because this isn't really living to me. So it's time, really past time that I see the Allergist and let him do the testing and start me on shots and whatever new meds I might need until some immunity is built up. My old meds are definitely not working anymore. I want to be outside again watching the beauty of Spring blooming forth through more than just my living room window and a quick step outside to take sunrise and flower pictures. And I want to take long walks knowing I will not get a respiratory infection just by breathing on those walks. Although my shots will not cost me anything, the testing and new meds will...and they won't be inexpensive. But both my Honey and I agree that whatever it costs it is worth it so that I will not have to watch life going by through our living room window, but be able to get out and live the life I am meant to be a part of. This is the last season of my life...my goal is to go through it as healthy as possible so that I can make the most of it. And with God's help I will do just that.
@Babs Hunt - hope things get sorted for you 'soon' x @Terry Page - what a shame you have to have dental work - the timing is all wrong Hope it goes smoothly for you
Everyone Xx The mornings are still rough for me - but at least this round of the virus has been tolerable since I started those tablets - keep going till you get there everyone
@Terry Page - Oooer Terry, just 'realised' Peru ! Can you change it to Blackpool ! They don't have yella fever there Otherwise you'll have to cover yerself in mesh ! Terry - the humidity Have you thought this through - this trip to Peru ...........................
After a slow start this morning I suddenly had a burst of energy this afternoon, so worked through till 9pm which meant I more or less finished the kitchen floor apart from some trim around the cupboards. I had to rebuild some of the cabinets to put the floor under them, but it all looks good now. The dining room won't take long tomorrow because it's straightforward wall to wall with no cupboards or appliances... Hope your day went well.. I will get something to eat now ..
