This past Sunday my Honey and I went to the Basketball game of our oldest grandson. The game consisted of the two best teams and what an exciting game it was. Our grandson has been playing for 4 years now and every year we see how he has advanced in his playing skills. Our oldest grandson loves sports and each year plays basketball, baseball, and soccer. This year our middle grandson (our oldest's brother) started playing basketball too and we will attend his last game this Saturday. I'm sorry my pictures are blurry..it's hard to get good pictures when the kids are moving so fast but I think I can take a short video and then take still shots off of those videos. I'm going to try that for the next and final game of the season which will be this coming Sunday. During the last quarter of the game the 2 best players on our grandson's team were benched because of fouls and the other team scored 24 points during that time. Our grandson's team was still ahead but only by 2 points and the other team scored one of those points when they got 2 free shots at the net because of something our team did wrong. They missed their second point and with 8 seconds to go our grandson held onto the basketball until the buzzer went off signaling the game was over. A very exciteingwin for our grandson's team by one point! Our grandson is the one with the blond hair.
Our youngest grandson is now 6 months old, weighs over 18 pounds, and enjoyed his first taste of bananas on Valentine's Day, which was also his 6 month birthday. He will be coming to Louisiana the second week of March and since no one is sick now...I am looking forward to holding and loving this precious baby!
So happy to have my youngest grandbaby in from Texas and spending some "play" time with Papaw and Granny. He is now 6 months old and a big "chunk!" Papaw is at work right now but should be home in a couple of hours and he is going to be so excited to have this "big" fella here with us.
My daughter's boys were all chunky...loved those fat thighs....sons boys weren't chunky. Daughter's boys are slim now... My daughter is 5'3 inches and about 110 lbs max and Nicholas was almost 10 lbs when born...Michael was only a few ounces less...don't know how she had such big babies...she didn't have gestational diabetes.
Yep, looks like my 2 chunky monkeys! Arm rolls and all!! Too cute! 6 months is a fun age also....a little easier to watch than when they start to walk...that's scary, lol.
My Oldest Granddaughter graduated from High School in May of 2016 and in the Fall of 2016 started College. She is very artistic and will pursue a career in that field. Her "Alice in Wonderland" hodge podge painting is on the wall next to her in the bottom picture.
Here's our granddaughter the "All Star" pitcher...she's going to go to College on a full Scholarship for that talent!
Then we have the granddaughter who wanted to be a cheerleader and then she decided she wants to be an a Star instead.
This granddaughter is a Cheerleader and has been for her 3 years of Junior High...next year she will be off to High School. She's the last one on the right standing up.
Our oldest grandson loves Sports and we always say he was born with a football in his hand, though actually he has played just about every sport but football...and that's because he isn't old enough for football yet. He can walk, talk, and eat Sports just like the big guys.
You have a beautiful family @Babs Hunt ..I love those pictures. What camera do you use, your pictures have such clarity... I love the action photos as well...
It's a older model Canon Powershot SX120IS. One secret is the right lighting. Also we have a family camera that is a more expensive one which we all chipped in on to take better action shots. My oldest daughter keeps that at her house until one of us needs it and then we just pass it around. For everything else I just use my Canon Powershot.
I'm an avid amateur photographer and I'm looking for a new camera, but not having a lot of luck. I need one with a viewfinder and I bought one last years that cost £600..latest model Sony...but it was useless, so I returned it and I'm still using my ancient bridge Fuji...S700s..good enough for stills, useless in low light and action shots...so I revert sometimes to using the camera on my iphone..
