Well, I'm from Irish- Scottish descent... so I should do something in the way of celebration but I rarely do. We used to regularly go to Irish folk clubs on st paddy's night, but we just rarely get the time now or the inclination after a hard day at work..

How did you and your Significant other meet? :)

    Wow.. What a question..
Well, it was a blind date on August 11th 1990 and it was at 7:22 in the evening..
Her name was given to me from a mutual friend and I called her up and asked her out.. When I went to her door, it was open but the screen door was closed.. I rang the bell, entered, and there was a lovely lady standing there.. I gave her a hug and a kiss and then told her my name.. We went out and have been together ever since that moment..
Now I made this story a very short version but it is much longer..

That was such a heavy question that I will repeat it for the next person.. hopefully we can get another story..

I met my husband in the pub 30 years ago...we both had different partners at the time, and we were casual friends for years and although he would have liked to have taken it further I wasn't at all interested.. ... I lost touch with him for a few years after our lives went in separate directions, then one day after I'd split from my then current partner I saw an article about him in the local paper.....and I got in touch with him. He was no longer in his relationship either and the rest as they say is history.

Given your current financial situation...whether good or bad... if you won the equivalent of £1,000 today what would you do with it..save or spend?..and if spend, what on?

I would do both. Save half for a rainy day, and spend half of it for a grand family vacation

Could you manage all that on just £1,000 @Doc James ?...:)

Oh yes many many times I went disco roller skating on a Saturday when I was a teen, totally adored it , but I never went there on a date..

Good question tho' which leads me to ask everyone...where would you say you went on your strangest or weirdest date?

Well, let me see which one I can tell about in public. ...... :D

It was my first date with this cute young sailor. I mean really, really cute. :) We went to a sort of park that had walking trails. It was a lovely fall day. The trees were all golden and red. We meandered through the woodlands for a while then decided to stop for a rest. There was a big fallen tree right beside the path. We sat down for a long romantic chat. Then I saw green flies buzzing and humming. I looked behind us. There was a huge pile of poop on the ground just behind the log. I mean, a really, really BIG pile of poop. Somebody had squatted on the log and let it all go. I pretended that I didn't see (or smell) a thing. :D He did the same. We went on our merry way, neither of us ever mentioned the Episode of the Smelly Poop. :D

Welcome to the games, @Doc James .

Do any of you play the lottery?

Both are good depending on the pain and also what works best for you for the different circumstance..
Cold reduces the swelling while heat makes it more flexible...

No not me but hubby has ,while I was in his car ( little truck as he calls it) he has a Rodeo sort of a four wheel drive ,but it's not 4WD ,he was trying to merge into traffic at road works and someone behind him rammed him three times to stop him getting in the lane ,after swapping details at the scene ..the driver caught up,with us a further 5 km down the road went past and slammed on his brakes in front of us ...We both kept our cool and I said to him oh it's OK th dash cam will show who's in the wrong so we let our insurance sort it out if OK ...We never heard another word from him and Hubs fixed the minor damage to his car himself

NO, and it's one of my pet peeves. Now my car has the phone in the steeringwheel, and all I have to do is push the button. But, even then, I only answer long enough to tell whomever that I'm driving and that I'll call them back when I'm not.

Do you still take a peek at the opposite sex?
