Yup, it's morning. Coffee....check, front porch light on....check, dogs wanting to go out....yeah, best do that. Kind of a sweet and sour kind of morning because I found a two year trophy awaiting my perusal of the alerts. Nice. 730 days and around 1200 or so posts. That's the sweet part but it also reminds me that the Seniors Only Club deserves a two year trophy as well and I forgot to award @Ken Anderson at least a mention and a congratulations on his endeavor. Seems kinda one sided. I got a trophy and Ken only gets a belated tip-o-the-hat. Sorry Ken, I'll try to be a bit more attentive next year. All that said, Good Morning all and have a very blessed day.......Bobby
@Chrissy Cross So sorry I'm late with your Happy Birthday wishes but I hope you had a Birthday as special as you are.
OUCH! I too missed the anniversary of @Chrissy Cross's day of birth. In some societies, the event could be celebrated for a week or more so perhaps a belated birthday wish might be viewed as a Happy Birth WEEK Chrissy! Many blessings upon you.......Bobby
One thing I'm noticing about being older is that when you do get sick it seems to take twice as long to recover your strength and energy even after you know you are on the mend. Hope while I've been sleeping most of my days away...alll of you have been having some exciting adventures and surprise blessings showered down on you..
Good morning again ....I did go back to bed, now I'm even groggier! I have a feeling my big plans for today aren't happening.
I am glad that you were nowhere near where the shooting was at, @Chrissy Cross , and are safe. That was the first thing I thought of when I saw the news blurb on Facebook yesterday, and then I remembered that you are on the edges of Fresno, and probably nowhere close to the danger zone. Why on earth would a Muslim extremist go by the name of "Black Jesus"? They usually just pick out some Islamic-sounding new name, like Cassius Clay did when he decided to become Muhammad Ali. Anyway, I had a good nap, and now enjoying my morning cup of bulletproof coffee, and listening to the birds twitter outside the back door. Then, I am going to plant a few more irises and work out in the yard before we get to the heat of the day. Bobby is still working at the house next door. He was starting to set up the backyard swimming pool before the lady next door moved, and he got involved in renovation of that house so it can be rented again. It is almost getting warm enough for the swimming pool; so hopefully he can get back to setting up the pool before long.
Thanks @Yvonne Smith but these shootings are an everyday thing...I'm just glad he didn't come to my part of town to kill white people. It happened around the time I got back from my daughter's house.
Actually, if a person wants to live in the city we do, gun violence happens here quite often. Not in the area we live, but definitely in other parts of the city. And, believe it or not, more and more people are moving here.
@Chrissy Cross I am glad you did not have to experience any of that violence that happened near your home either...and I pray you never do experience it.
Went to the Star Wars Celebration 2017 at the Orlando Convention Center last weekend. Only went on Saturday, but what a crowd! It was sold out for the first time on a Saturday since the event started years ago. We had my wheelchair with us and took turns sitting in it. Had a great time though. Unfortunately, I got the stomach flu when we got home on Monday night. Spent all night Monday and all day Tuesday going back and forth to the bathroom. Doing better today.
Thanks Babs! It's happening so much now, we're all sitting ducks....some is terrorism, some are nutjobs but dead is dead.
Glad you had fun and the wheelchair is a smart idea. Sorry about the stomach flu, do you think it could have been a slight case of food poisoning or didn't you eat there? Stomach flu is going around though...glad you're better!
Fortunate for you Cody that the stomach flu did not hit you Saturday at the Orlando Convention Center! Hope you continue to feel better.
