Morning! I'm running a little early....had to come in and sweep up the peanut shells, and wipe the cotton candy off the tables! The clown makeup on the cups, were no problem! The Holy Grounds coffee is brewing, and the coffee cake is cut! Help yerself!
@Joe Riley, Thank you for making the steak burgers for Izzy. He is feeling much better after a weeks worth of good solid food. He has never eaten 'dog food'. I raised him on broiled chicken and beef. I know that eggs and bacon are supposed to be the same all over, but my tummy was queazy for the whole period I was on vacation. Now after a week of being home with my friends, and regular visits to the Hi-goodbye cafe, my tummy is much better. I knew that the Hi-goodbye cafe was going to turn out to be a magical place.
The magic bean -song entry for coffee junkee and coffee mate's coffee song/uke contest "I'm down with coffee junkie and coffee mate....oh yes it's usually a large dunkin' donuts coffee for me in the mornings on my way to work.... just let me have it black with no cream, no sugar, and put 2 to 3 small ice cubes in it so i don't have to wait eh? eh"?

Hey @Joe Riley, did I miss the posting of the Hi-goodbye cafe's calendar? Now just how are we to remember all the different cafe holidays when there is no reference to check periodically. Or did you post a calendar while I was away? Remember, we are seniors, at least that is my excuse.
Hi, Ina, and Izzy! No, you didn't miss the activity calendar....It's just that it's been a real circus around here, lately! I am just now taping the schedule to the front window, by the door! It reads as follows: Monday: (open) Tuesday: Cookie Day Wednesday: CLOSED Thursday: Game Day Friday: Live Entertainment Saturday: Jukebox Jumpin' Sunday: Holy Grounds.
@Joe Riley, thank you for the listing. I was getting confused, and I'm already befuddled. After my trip, I decided it was time for me to pull it together, and get busy with figuring out just what I want to do now. Building a new daily structure is one of my first goals, and knowing the Hi-goodbye's schedule will help with that. Monday's note, (open), is a bit vague, since it was open just the day before.
Sorry, Ina, I should have made that clearer. Monday has no theme for the day...so it is open to suggestions. Someone thought a coffee mug contest (Mug-shot Monday), another suggestion: Joke Day. We have left it open. Thursday was declared "Cookie Day", by Dave Sun, but we had to change it when we made Thursday, Game Day. Hope I haven't muddied the water even more! Remember, the main rule is that we are flexible, and Coffee comes first! Having a daily routine is important and brings peace and stability to your life! Junior, was by with a delivery of goodies this morning. He remembered that it was Cookie Day! Our snow bird, Dave Sun, has made it to his Florida digs, and is settling in. Hope to hear from him soon....maybe a UPS package, with doughnuts?
