The last time I was in Cedar Rapids Iowa we stopped at a restaurant in the Czech village area. Being Slovak, where else would I eat? I don't remember the name of the place but I ordered beef stew. It looked just like in the photo. A big bowl with lots of meat and some veggies and dumplings. I highly recommend it. My son says beef stew and dumplings is available in most Czech places. And, I can't forget the beer. As good or better than any German beer. And the waitresses-
It's been several years ago and the place was about a block or less away from the Czech museum. I was only there once and don't remember the exterior. The stew was thick enough to eat with a fork. My son served in Germany on the Czech border while in the army. In Germany, near son's base, was a bar owned by a Czech. Son went in there as often as he could, and became good friends with the owner.
Yeah, I know what you mean....if they made this picture any smaller, it would be a Czech postage stamp.
