Hey.....at 18% humidity a swamp cooler still works pretty well so maybe you might want to get a slave cooler for those days when the humidity is below 20% @Chrissy Cross. Maybe a next year project....
Good morning friends it's 7am and I am home in my own bed, after a good trip back, the problem is I don't feel back home at the moment, I feel away from my home in St.Petersburg with Lisa ....I never been away for three months before so I guess it will take a bit longer to adjust....... It's been 35c (95f) here for a few days, and today is forecast to be the same, which is just too much for me, especially as we don't often have AC in the UK it's forecast to cool down from tomorrow thank goodness... I noticed on both the flights home, which were full, that everyone was helpful and kind to each other, it felt like all these terrorist attacks and other terrible world events, were bonding us humans together. Interestingly the courier on the bus back from Finland the other day, during the final stretch into St.Peter, starting reading out poems about love and how we should care for each other, ..........even joking that as we had arrived a couple of hours ahead of schedule, we had time to go out and find someone special to love, if we felt alone. ..............I found it touching and though this sort of thing is not that unusual in Russia, I can't imagine it happening at home at all.. I will go and wake up now and sort out some food or rather go out and buy some... Enjoy your day.......
Want humidity...........move to Florida! Almost on a daily basis we are at 90% to 100% in the morning. We thought we'd get use to it, but that sure hasn't happened.
Yes but you're not in the triple digits all summer long. Can you imagine being 110 degrees with 90% humidity? We will be in the 90's and 100's until the end of October.
I guess it's "welcome to Fresno in the summer". Really didn't know that city got the high humidity during the summer. How do your kids/grandkids handle it?
They live on the coast where it's usually in the upper 70's in the summer. ...Monterey area. If they didn't just leave for their Mediterranean Cruise...I would be there right now and away from this heat.
I came across an amazing piece of information today. Last night, for a large portion of the population of our world, the moon was readily visible from earth! Wow! Such an occurance will not happen again until.....tonight! Just goes to show that every morning is a learning experience to be shared!
That's what we miss about living in Colorado. Low humidity and not nearly as hot as it can get here. Yes, they do get a winter there, but each state has it's good and bad things when it comes to weather. San Diego is suppose to have the best all-year weather around. When I was in the Navy there, it sure seemed like that.
It's funny but in the winter my daughter is always a few degrees warmer than I am in Fresno. Today they will barely reach 70. It's hard to believe that I'm only 157 miles from her house and it's 38 degrees cooler there!
I went through N. Colorado about 20 years ago during the summer and neither of the two motels I stayed at had air conditioners. To me, it got downright cold during the evening.
The storm that is moving north from the gulf is going to go right past us according to the weather radar. We should have rain within the next hour, and maybe some thunderstorms. I put on a pot of bean soup, so even if we lose power, we have easy food to eat, and soup is always good when it is cold and rainy. It looks like it has already come in pretty strong south of us along the gulf, but by the time it gets here, it should be pretty well over with, I think.
