@Cody Fousnaugh ,I'm sure you've already looked into a comparison of cost of living between Cheyenne and Loveland and it may not matter to you (because sometimes the extra cost is worth it) but just an FYI, online (where everything is questionable) says that housing in Loveland is 43% more expensive than Cheyenne. Another way to look at is in general...in general Loveland has a 17% higher cost of living.
We are still investigating into both. Cheyenne would be more "Western" related than Loveland. Frontier Mall is also in Cheyenne. However, summers are hot and, at times, very windy. If we still have our boat, and have it shipped there, we are a longer distance from a lake than in Loveland or Longmont. We have to live in a bigger area than a small town, since we both would like to get part-time jobs. We only hope we both stay healthy until we move in mid 2019.
@Lara Moss , that's a beautiful photo from way back in '55 of you and your sister , it looks really modern. Wow!! so Julie has got a dream job in Majorca, made lots of new artist friends and fallen in love with a guy from here in London as well?....bless her heart...and I hope she is having the time of her life...it certainly sounds like she is....I wish her the very best that you wish for her yourself. ...I bet she had no idea just a few weeks ago just how much her life would change so quickly ... just goes to show we never know what's around the corner.. Thank you for your best retirement wishes...it's was only 2 days ago...but it seems already like a long time ago because of course we've been in Spain since the beginning of the month.... I have lots to catch up on at home, and with friends etc... so that should keep me busy for a little while...
Boy @Holly Saunders you sure work fast, and you're a time traveler as well. You're my new hero!!! Maybe you're a new member of the X Men? (I'm watching them right now.) I just love that series. Is there anyway you could get me into the group? I'm real good at pulling peoples legs. They too need a jokester.
LOL @Ina I. Wonder , you'd be welcome to join any group of which I was a member...we always need a jokester in our lives, that's fer sure...
Good morning to you all on a bright and warm Sunday, summer has returned it seems....... I slept well and will start sorting out my packing today, which always seems to take longer than it should Lisa had a traumatic day flying to the UK because of severe storms man airports were partly closed, and there were lots of delays and cancellations. Lisa left over an hour late with an hour transfer in Munich, but they held the ongoing flight to London for her so she made it, but her suitcase didn't. It will be delivered today hopefully.... Have a great relaxing Sunday....
Well, me filling out information, and sending it in, about the two new Goodyear tires we bought a few weeks ago, paid off. We got a $50 Visa Card in the mail. Along with that, in the mail, was a $25 gift card from a local sporting goods store/company that we have shopped at. So, yesterday, $75 was given to us thru the mail. Not taking the boat out during this 4th of July time. Way too many young boaters on the water driving a boat like they do their vehicle on the street or freeway.
Wow. @Cody Fousnaugh , that's great! So what're you and your Misses going to spend your unexpected windfall on? Something for your boat, or something for yourselves? Maybe a night on the town?
A "night on the town" here? This city isn't exciting at all for seniors. When we got all new tires for our vehicle, I filled out the same info, sent it in and we got a $100 Visa Card back ($25 rebate for each tire).
You do know is tire thing was a rebate, not a contest. Really wonder how many people nervous take the time to fill out/mail in rebates? We always do.
TY @Holly Saunders . That's not all. She says she is thinking about selling everything she has in Denver , stopping the nutritional coaching career, and just travel doing just what she's doing now, picking up photography jobs, blogging on her website and instagram, and travel journalism. She's coming for a 6 day visit at the end of this month so I feel honored that she squeezed me in but, seriously, she not really "here with me" when we Skype. She's off dreaming about her new love and new life of wanderlust.
Mornin @Lara Moss, it's good to see you. Can your niece make a living that way? I'm a total ignoramus when it come to today's needs in journalism. It sounds a bit like a modern form of travel journaling, and I remember several journalists made a good income from it.
