The train thing was easy for me to relate to. I've always, and I mean ALWAYS, wanted a train that would run from the kitchen to my lazyboy to deliver food and maybe a beer from time to time. No such luck. Even if I built it, SWMBO would never put anything on it for delivery.
@Tim Burr it sounds like you had aspirations of becoming a Lazy Boy recliner potato. Why do I get the feeling that you are too active to become so? But then again, that might be why you have such a desire.
Just a quick hello because though we had a lovely day on the 10 hour coach trip here (which had oxygenated air) we are a tad off our heads tonight with low oxygen levels again, having gone up several more thousand feet in altitude, we are back on the pills and high dose Ibuprofen, which both help the body produce a lot more red blood cells. We have an early 6am start tomorrow to catch a boat to an island on lake Titicaca, it's some 30 miles from the town where we are staying (Puno) ...... we are staying with a family for a couple of nights. It's run on a collective basis with a chief who patrols the island counting tourists evidently . He will meet us off the boat and take us to the family some 3 miles up a hill. There is no electricity or phone network coverage, except on one small beach at the south of the island.....It's in the 70s during the day but down to 24f at night, so we are taking warm clothes, they provide hot water bottles So if you don't hear from me for a couple of days I have gone native, that's all.... Here is a photo of a brief photo stop at the highest altitude point over 15,000 ft
Good morning. Just dropped in to say I hope everyone is doing well. I am really enjoying the time with my family and grandchildren. This morning my youngest granddaughter is having surgery to remove her adenoids and put tubes in her ears so in a little while her parents will bring me her baby brother to take care of while they are at the Hospital with our Luvey. Have a blessed day everyone.
Hi @Babs Hunt , and good morning to you. Poor Luxey, but she'll feel better as soon as her granny can get her back home for all the cuddling she'll need to heal. Take care Babs and remember we think of and miss you. But now you have the most important job of all, loving babies. Good morning everyone!
Hi @Joe Riley , and good morning, I hope you and your Misses are enjoying the summer. What are y'all doing to keep busy through these sweltering months? Are those leather working tools?
