Do you cook the dried pinto beans @Sheldon Scott and if so what do you add to yours? :)

You've given me great idea @Sheldon Scott. My favorite beans to cook are navy. And since my Honey brought home some free ham steaks and I have a package of dried navy beans and some cole slaw mix...I think that is what we will have for supper today. :)

@Babs Hunt .....I was raised on beans very early and still a staple for me. The hubby likes pinto beans with hamburger onions and link sausage...this is meal all by itself.
And even navy beans are good like that.
Latley I have made red beans or pinto with out all that artery clogging other stuff and they are still good...specially with cornbread and soft fried potates:p

I like to cook dried beans and put it over rice Gloria. But navy beans are my favorite to cook, they do well with chicken sausage, leftover turkey, ham bones, and even shrimp! :)

Two days ago I made homemade spinach and ricotta cheese raviolis, and a, from scratch, marinara sauce. After I boil the ravioli, I like to roast them just enough to give them a bit of crunch, and it gets rid of the stickiness so you can dip them in the sauce.

Bobert liked my marinara sauce so much that he actually agreed to my adding meatballs to it yesterday, and then putting all over wild rice. Bobert had this rule that he never eats leftovers. So this was a bit of a breakthrough for him.

Tonight I'll be fixing him a nice large salmon steak, a salad from my tower garden, and candied carrots. So I think I'll fix myself a salad with avacodo and tomatoes on the side. :)

My husband likes rice with them also...I rather crumble up the cornbread in the beans and eat away:p

We usually add ham or bacon, bay leaf and summer savory. Serve with hot peppers and chopped onion.

Is this weird ? I do not like the stems on spinach leaves when making a salad...so I remove them. Please tell me I am not throwing away the most nutritional part:D

Today I've had key lime yogurt, taquitos, cottage cheese, peach, and coffee.
