@Gloria Mitchell , I can feel your excitement for looking at wood from here. But as Babs mentioned, if your going to a lumber outlet, you can always look at the flowers. Or you can go see what they offer in the way of outdoor yard decorations. If your going out into the woods, take a shovel and talk your hubby into taking home a couple of small saplings of redbud or wild pear trees for your yard. That's how I got my fruit trees, and vining berry plants.
Good morning to you all it's a windy wet morning here and cold at 11c (50f) so not very inviting out, I do have to go out get some new tyres for the car though, as they are worn down to the legal limit Title: Tortoise (coming out of my shell) Jean Haines
Woke up at 4 am, like it was time to get up..ugh,hate when I do that. Luckily it does not happen often. Oh well, another day for me..yea ! how fortunate to wake up and see the crummy headlines, another day of humidity, that could scroach a roach. LOLO yes a tad of sarcasm...Have a great day !
Next month around my sister's home in Georgia all the leaves will be turning colors like in the first painting I posted and it would be really nice to be there to see that this year. She always sends me pictures that she takes of the this and each year it is different, with some years having much more color than others...yet still it is always a beautiful time of year where they live. Here is Louisiana there is alot of greenery but not many beautiful places to see. The beauty that holds me here is my Family. There is nothing more beautiful to me than each one of my children, their husbands, and our grandchildren. And now that my youngest is back here with her family I feel like I am living in the garden of Eden once again. Yes, I don't like that they are building duplexes to hide the beautiful big green lot we loved viewing from our front porch most mornings but my daughter assures me we can go sit in her back yard with all its beauty anytime we want once they are settled in their new home. And since it's so close to us...we just may do that sometimes. We can't stop the changes that happen but we can change our attitude about these changes we don't really care for. We still have our flower and veggie beds and our porch and if the birds got used to feeding with us sitting on the porch, etc. then they will get used to our new neighbors coming and going too. Most of the time because these units have only one bedroom it is a single person or a couple that will move into them and so far except for one person who is long gone now....our units have nice, quiet, people who we are glad to have as neighbors. The new duplexes will just have one bedrooms also...and we're praying that some more good neighbors will move into these also. Our Landlord will not put up with troublesome people living in his units...so that is a good thing too. May you know JOY today in a very special way.
I wish you all a good morning, I woke to a sunny cool one, so will hopefully get to do some more gardening later...... enjoy your day whatever you get up to ....
Yesterday was a good day. I went with my daughter to explore their new home and take pictures and room measurements, etc. Their new home is filled with so much peace...as I walked in the door I could feel that peace surround me. Although I'm not as fond of cooking as much as I used to be, her kitchen is perfect for preparing some wonderful meals for family and friends. And every room is just saturated with that peace and the presence of love. I don't think anyone of us wanted to leave when we were finished doing what we came to do. Even the front and back yards are oasis' of peace. The back yard will be perfect for outdoor entertaining with friends and family and is set up with several cozy niches. It is a lovely Home for them and yesterday my daughter even said she can see it as their forever Home. My heart is filled with peace now knowing they have found their Home. My Dental appointment early in the afternoon went well too. This was my first appointment with my new Dentist and I was a little anxious about things but everyone was just as nice as could be and I will have no anxiety at my next appointment. This morning I take my Honey for an eye exam for new glasses. His macular degeneration is progressing faster than we had hoped it would and it doesn't really drive very often anymore so I have become our main driver now. Today besides taking him for his eye exam, we will also pick up his paycheck, deposit it in our bank, make a stop at Lowe's and then get some gas for the lawnmower. And since we are in the mood for some Soft taco supremes we will make a lunch pickup at Taco Bell too. Hopefully we can get the important things done in between the rain times. In everything there is a blessing. Though we are not happy that my husband has macular degeneration, his not be able to see well enough to drive and do some other things has given us a chance to be together more often again. We have to work as a team to overcome the limitations this eye disease is bringing into our lives. And that is a good thing. May today be a good day for all of us no matter what the weather is like.
Slept like dead wood after being up so early yesterday. Spent the morning cleaning up veggies and cantaloupe brought to us from very close friend...who recently visited his homeplace in Kentucky. Um dinner will be delicious tonite. May go to grocery store for few avacadoes to go with the fresh tomatoes. Pay bills so we can be broke some more. Not sure about the rest of the day but will be inside while the heat continues. I is alive and moving around good that is all that matters
@BabsHunt.... I understand your struggle to some degree. My husband is 7 years younger than me but falling apart. Lolol. We were sitting in doctors office one day and discussing all his ailments... then I said..well so much for me marrying a younger dude...we both broke out laughing. Ya never know
