For me it is English with a few phrases and words I can speak in Spanish and French. I wish I could have taken more Spanish classes as I think this language sounds so beautiful when spoken. My mother on the other hand wished I had learned more french since I am part rajun-cajun and that is the native tongue of where I live.

The spiritual side of me also speaks a language which sounds like Chinese to me. :)

I speak English and Hungarian fluently...can understand a lot of Spanish and French since French was my major in College but I'm forgetting that it seems.

I took both Spanish and French in school. Started French in eighth grade and then in high school added Spanish as my elective because languages were always an easy A for me.

Living in California you can't help but know Spanish:)

    Everybody does to some degree.

:p I think I'm about at that level now too Bill. That's why I ordered Reader's Digest to help increase my vocabulary again. Talking with Toddlers and babies for much of my time is just not conducive to increasing my vocabulary. :)

American English, very bad Spanish, a few words of Swedish, and I'm fluent in gibberish. There are times when I can figure out what the Brits are trying to say, but I really wish they'd learn the language better.

Is gibberish a form of "pig latin" Ken? Because I can speak that language too. :)

I have always loved Reader's Digest but their monthly subscription price was more than I wanted to pay. While my Mom was alive one of my sister's always gave her a yearly subscription because mom loved them too...and I would get them after she finished with them. This past year Reader's Digest sent me a letter offering me a 2 year subscription for $20...and I mailed the check the next day to them. :)

Texas English :D.. enough spanish to know- you best not say that again! A few words in German, and a word or two of French.
I have not and still do not take any newspapers, or magazines. Books I read get at the Half Price Book Store. And we have always had only one TV. and never in the bedroom:p

No doubt and if you travel from San Diego to Long Beach you might very well be stopped by the border patrol some 70 miles north of the border and be strongly requested in Spanish to present your passport. Been there and done that.
