Thanks @Yvonne Smith A few years ago I had theses two areas x rayed and the shoulder didn't show anything and the lower spine showed osteoarthritis. At that time I didn't have insurance so could just afford the x ray. My shoulder only hurt occasionally back then...now it hurts every day and so does the upper arm if I try to move it in certain directions..like reaching. Glad it's my left shoulder and arm but find it strange that something is wrong with the side I don't use as often.
Well ...this appt was a waste of time without my MRI results. They knew it wasn't done yet and yet they kept my appt to tell me...NOTHING. I have an appt for sept 20 with them now, hopefully I'll have my MRI results by then. This is why our healthcare is such a mess.
Good morning all, it's a grey start to the day here and I have just about woken up after a few coffee's. My daughter Cathy is off today so we are going to do some of the heavier pruning in the garden today. Enjoy your Wednesday...
Good Morning. How about that $700 million dollar Powerball jackpot? We will get a couple of tickets, we always do when it gets really high like this. Wonder who will win this one? I wouldn't mind it being us of course. One can't help thinking of what could be done with that kind of money for sure. I'm having a really hard time with my arthritis again. Tropical Storm Harvey seems to have alot to do with this. A few times lately the pain is so bad in my back and hips that I'm rethinking whether I do need to get a prescription for the times like this. But I'm struggling with this because I really don't want to go that way unless I absolutely have too. I know many of you have arthritis too so you know what I'm talking about. I don't like this part of getting older at all. Two more days and my daughter and her Family will close on their new home and finally be able to move into it. With TS Harvey predicted to bring so much rain our way it looks like their movers will be moving them in through the rain...which isn't going to be very pleasant and is going to be messy too. I'm praying they will be blessed with a nice rain free time period that will last at least long enough for the movers to get all their stuff moved in. I'm also praying that TS Harvey will not stall or bring so much rain here again that we will have a flooding problem like we did last year around this time. Our City and County has not done the work they needed to do in the drainage systems...so if we do get that kind of rain again...we will see more homes, etc. flooding and there will be alot of angry people letting the City and County know how upset they will be that our taxes, etc. are not being used for the purpose they are being paid for. It's a brand new day...hope it's a good one where you are.
Good morning everyone! Lilies of the Valley, a favorite flower and scent....daughter loves it also. Have an 8:00 reg drs appt ...ugh. I was so drained yesterday from the pointless X-ray consultation that I fell asleep too early so that meant I got up at 2:00 am today. I should sleep well tonight and have NO tests or drs appts on Thursday but Friday I have 2 MRIs unless they cancel and reschedule again...kind of hoping they do since my appt for the consultation about the MRI isn't til sept 20th now. What a screwed up system!!
@Babs Hunt , Doc says I have arthritis in my knees. The pain was so bad that I was considering knee replacement. Last spring, a friend on another board said she had been taking turmeric for her pain and it worked. She takes two capsules a day. I decided that I'd try it. I don't like taking pills so I started out with one capsule a day. They seemed to help a little. I'm a bit of a skeptic so I stopped them for a few weeks. The pain returned full force. So I started taking one capsule with breakfast and one with lunch. I have been taking two a day for a couple of months and am happy to say, my knees don't hurt! They still get stiff if I sit or stand in the same place for a long time but they don't hurt. You might want to try them for your arthritis pain. They are cheap and, for me, they work.
Thank you @Shirley Martin I will definitely have to do some research on turmeric and see if this might help me. I have the most problem in my lower back and hips and the weather pressure systems seem to have alot to do with my pain. It is getting worse and I will have to do something if this keeps up...and I would prefer to go with natural remedies if they can help. I appreciate you sharing.
Good morning friends, a slow start for me today, I was up late listening to some YouTube interviews, so I guess that's my excuse.. It's a sunny morning and I am getting ready to go to my daughter Caroline's house, to help her decorate her living room, a change from gardening.... Enjoy your Thursday...
Bringing my Honey to his first appointment with his new Retina Specialist this morning and praying that we will now have a Doctor for him that will do what he can to help us manage the aspects of this eye disease, etc. instead of just taking our money and showing us the door. TS Harvey is still headed to Texas at this time but since we are on the east side of the storm it is not looking good for us as far as getting alot of rainfall again and possible flooding too. Because of what we went through last year I know most of us are praying for God to intervene and take that flooding rain somewhere else this time. Praying a hedge of protection around my Family's homes too along with ours. May blessings be yours this day.
