@Yvonne Smith please have @Bobby Cole keep us updated if you can't...sending prayers and best wishes your way today.
It was just an echo, so not likehaving to be in the hospital. My appointment was at 1, and we were back home before 2, so a fast trip. I am supposed to hear back from the doctor within a week. My heart was in normal rhythm today; but what they were checking was how the heart failure is doing. I had been doing so good that my heart was pretty much out of hf; but since the a-fib stated again last fall, they wanted to re-check it and see if the % has dropped again. Thank you for all of the prayers and concerns ! (It is awesome to have friends)
OH YAY ! ! YAY ! ! YAY ! ! I just got the call back from my doctor’s office, and the report on my heart is totally awesome ! My heart is no longer in heart failure at all, and it is about 55-60%EF now, which is probably the best that it has been in many, many YEARS . I was diagnosed with a-fib and CHF early in 2001, and then it just kept getting worse over the years, and when they sent me in for the first convergent ablation surgery in 2014, it was at only 23%EF. Since the surgery, I have pretty much been eating a low carb diet, taking supplements, and exercising, and slowly, slowly, my body is recovering. The low thyroid has reversed and it is normal now, and even my kidney failure seems to be getting better, in spite of my having to take medications that are hard on the kidneys. Thank you to everyone for all of the prayers and positive thoughts, and I totally believe that that does more good than we know.
Rejoicing, praising, and thanking God for your wonderful news @Yvonne Smith. I'm so happy for you. It's a really good news day and I hope we will hear lots more before this day is over. It's a wonderful day in the neighborhood!
That was after the doctor visit, so I have not talked with them; but I am pretty sure it was because my blood pressure was about 97/50-something. My BP and heart rate are still fluctuating , but I am healing up from the last procedure, and they said they need to keep me on the amioderone for a while longer until they are sure that it will stay in rhythm.
Absolutely not ! It was just a problem that lasted a few minutes, and it might have been because I hadn’t eaten and my blood sugar was low, or something simple like that. It has not been a problem, and we are still going to the fitness center, and now that I know my heart os doing better, I should be able to do more things even.
