How wonderful that you will be able to Host your family for Thanksgiving @Lon Tanner...and in your own private dining room too. Do you get to choose the menu? It sounds like you have found the perfect home for you during this season of your life...I hope you will be very happy there.
I never thought that I would reach my present age and have the highlight of each week be the meals that I have eaten. The three meals per day and snacks that are provided as part of my rent agreement are truly OUTSTANDING an GOURMET. Once I figure out how to post some pics taken with my I Phone I will do so,
I love the food here and tonight I chose FETUCCINI ALFREDO WITH CLAMS FROM SEVERAL OTHER EQUALLY ATTRACTIVE MEALS. WITH SEVERAL GLASSES OF MY OWN SAUVIGNON BLANC IT WAS GREAT.
They supply a red & white wine with the evening meal. Servers will generally limit the serving to two glasses per person. I keep wines in my apartment and will some times take my own bottle. Residents may keep alcoholic beverages in their apartments. Wine is always available at Thursday or other time HAPPY HOURS. Champangne has been served at special events.
I will have dinner shortly and will decide between PISTACHIO CRUSTED SALMON WITH MANDARIN GLAZE OR RACK OF LAMB. I will take a pic and post my choice later tonight. O Me---Life in the OLD FOLKS HOME AIN'T BAD.
@Lon Tanner Either of those choices would be great with me! We love lamb, but must refrain from buying it due to it's cost. Our buffets around here have baked Salmon most of the Winter. I partake heavily of it, "all I can eat"! Frank
