Is there, or was there something ( anything ) you always wanted, and never got, and if you did get it?... did it live up to expectations
There was once a Victorian house with a wrap around porch for sale when we were looking for houses and I wanted it so badly but even though we put an offer on it we didn't get it...just as well as well as it was a tad out of our price range.
yeeep, always wanted to be taller, thinner, richer and a heck of a lot smarter... dang it, never happened.
I have always wanted a four or five year old Lincoln Town car and enough money to keep gas in it. My brother had one and it rode like riding on a cloud.
We wanted a powerboat that had EFI (Electric Fuel Injection), like our Durango and RAM does. With EFI, just turn on the ignition key and gas is shot into the engine and it starts darn near immediately. With our boat, we have to hold down the throttle for awhile to get the gas from the tank to the carburetor, by way of the gas pump. Had to do the same thing with older vehicles that were carbureted. Let's see, while I'm thinking about it, how about a nice lake cottage with dock, to live in. Oh, how the Wish List goes on and on.
One regret is, when younger, I couldn't afford to train for a pilots' licence. N Newly married, mortgage etc etc. Still dream of flying a jet fighter aircraft or an Airbus....
I always wanted one husband who was loving, faithful, and kind hearted to spend my life with. It took me 3 tries to find that "husband" ... yet even when you do find that one that is perfect for you...there are still imperfections that sometimes put a "damper" on things now and then.
No imperfections in me.........at least that's what my wife tells me. Of course, I know better, but I go along with what she says.
Even my perfect marriage had its ups and downs and even fights but no matter what...I loved him dearly! Nobody is perfect...I sure wasn't.
Probably a better education although my associates degree has given me a decent living since age 32. But at 18 I had no idea I could go to college or accomplish anything so I went and got a job doing dishes because it's all I thought I could do.
