It doesn't bother you that they are tracking your keystrokes, which might include your name, address, passwords and credit card numbers?

That would bother us, Ken, BUT, nothing can be done about it. Right?

No, it really doesn't. So far nothing bad has happened. Plus I have nothing to lose.:)

I always knew that were being watched because something I would mention somewhere or look at on google would pop up on my Facebook feed as an ad.

    That doesn't bother me...

What will someone get from me besides a month's worth of widows benefits and only if they hit me before I pay bills.

    I have one debit/credit card.

Everything else is set up in a trust including this house...set up after my husband died.

Very often on several of my forums, a bleep will appear at the bottom declaring, "so and so is delayed by a long-running script". Sometimes the page never recovers, (after I wait until disgust takes over). Often wondered what "script" meant, but now have some understanding of it, thanks to @Ken Anderson .

It's not that hard to find people especially if you know their real name. Even usernames yield ton s of info...

@Cody Fousnaugh i bet I can tell you what forum your relocation forum is and maybe even your username there.

Well, Chrissy, that would be pretty easy, since there is only one major relocation forum..........right? As far as my username goes, not sure about that, because a person has to "Sign-In" to find out some things. But, who knows.

Is there just one relocation forum? That I don't know.

I'm just messing with ya @Cody Fousnaugh but it is easy to find people in most cases.

Most people on here know my real name and phone number etc, but even those that don't....I'm not hard to find.

Being stuck with a fixed, constant ISP # hinders one's privacy quite a bit. A roaming ISP # helps. Using a Proxy service server is useless, as I've found out. If you really want to operate some of you P.C. activities, do it at a public computer place, library, or the like, while setting your P.C.'s security settings at maximum, reject all cookies. Set Temporary Internet Files to "store" for 0 days, and "delete automatically" each time you log off. Check them now and then for cookies, anyway. Always use "In Private" (I.E.) or "Incognito" (Chrome) to boot.

Or, just use someone else's computer!

I run a cookie removal software after every web session ... mine is called ; HitmanPro , it is a powerful, professional-grade malware cleaner. It goes beyond simply removing viruses, Trojans, worms, bots, and PUAs. It completely eradicates all traces and remnants of the infection. With its advanced behavioral detection technologies, it’ll be as if your computer was never infected in the first place. Plus, HitmanPro can run alongside your current antivirus to catch anything that may have slipped through.

The relocation forum I’m on, I believe is the largest. Been on it 10+ years.

Actually, if you know the person’s real name, you can type it in the “Web Search” area and see what comes up. A person can go into People Finder or People Search websites and find someone. You can get some info, but have to pay for an address and/or phone number.

Whitepages will usually give you an address for free. At least I think that's the site, haven't looked in awhile.

@Ken Anderson IMO, the only sure way to prevent that would be to stay off the internet entirely. I doubt if any of us are willing to do that. Even then, we are being watched by cameras almost everywhere we go.
