Thanks @Babs Hunt ...no rain or fog forecast just bright sunshine which I don't like either when I'm driving,
I'm snuggling in our bed under the comforters while I drink my coffee this morning and watch the morning news. After all the hustle and bustle of Christmas it's nice to know today I can relax and do absolutely nothing if I feel like it. Amid the Christmas Holiday joy, there was sadness too. One of my SIL's Grandmother's died on Christmas Eve morning and an Aunt on my Moma's side of the family passed away too on the 21st of December. I didn't really know the Aunt on my Mom's side but my SIL's Grandmother came to a few of our gatherings through the years and her presence will be missed in our lives. Life just seems to short sometimes. It's hard to believe it's almost a New Year too. 2017 has flown by way to fast as many of the past years are seeming to do lately. As we look towards that New Year I pray that it will be a good one with many blessings for all of us, a healthier New Year for each of us...and a New Year that isn't quite as "crazy" as this one has been at times.
It is a reminder to me Patsy to get out that beginner's paint set I bought a couple of years ago and paint a picture during the New Year.
I have had many reminders Babs and still I have no easel - I say to meself, I haven't the room here and that's true Such a shame it is - never mind, we are great artists in our minds - that's for sure
I have no easel either Patsy. But my granddaughter might have an extra one I can borrow. Or I wonder if I could "rig" something up on my camera tripod and turn it into an easel?
That's a good idea @Babs Hunt about using your camera tripod. I gave away my easel last year , but I could use my tripod if O start painting again... Anyway Good afternoon everyone on this Boxing day in the UK ( day after Christmas which is a National holiday)... I hope you all had the Christmas that you wished for... we spent the day working putting a new bed together, much harder than it looked because it was an ottoman bed which is very heavy and takes ages to put together. Forgot that we're much older than last time we bought new beds, so much more tiring going up and downstairs with heavy items ....any way it's all done now, and I slept on my new mattress last night, lovely and comfy...
There's nothing better to our old bodies like a bed that is comfortable and allows us to get a good night's sleep. Hope yours @Holly Saunders will do just this for many years.
What did you enjoy about the movie? Just curious. We will be seeing it again this week, but this time in a regular theater, not 3-D or loud stereo sound.
Nothing in particular, just thought it was good and not boring and that's all I ask for in a movie. I also enjoyed being with my daughter and grandsons and seeing it with them. We also went to a newer movie theater and the seats were really comfy. Seeing Carrie Fisher bought tears to my eyes a few times just because I knew that she died a year ago...even if she wasn't my favorite actress or person it was just sad. I think it would have been better if it was only 2 hours long instead of the 2.5 that I think it was. I saw Rogue One and the Force awakens also and this was my least favorite of the three.
What exactly is an ottoman bed @Holly Saunders? I know what an ottoman is but have never seen one as a bed...at least not in any of the states Ive lived in so far.
Over here they offer painting classes where you paint a picture and drink some wine while you are painting. If my I could get one of my daughter's to come take that class with me..it might just jump start my desire to paint.
