There's no reason to think that a woman wouldn't be able to do the job, or someone of whatever race you might want to put in there, but I wouldn't vote for someone just because of that, as I've said, but neither would I vote against them based on that sort of thing.

Thing is, these awards ceremonies, to us, are no place to do a political or any other kind of statement........about race or anything else. Enough is enough..........do the awards and that's it.

Yes, all of these people want change, but in reality, is that going to happen............seriously doubt it.

Ive been watching the old Match Game shows from 1975 on Amazon prime and it's really refreshing and fun to listen to them joke around and not worry about PC.

They make fun of eskimos, Indians, gays...lots of sexual innuendo...everybody just having fun....what a different world now.

I have always admired Oprah. She has accomplished many impressive things. If she ran for president, she would likely win. She would have most women's vote, the black vote, the liberal men's vote and many other men's votes. She is a strong woman. Why, then, do you suppose she felt the need to wear her boobs pushed up to her collar bone at the awards? I have seen a lot of women in my life but I have never seen one with her boobs growing out of her collar bone. IMO, her words would have carried more weight if she had worn a more natural looking bra. I didn't see the awards but, from what I read, it was all about sexual harassment and women being treated equally. By trying to look so sexy, she seems to have negated that message .

This “making fun of” is still done on The Comedy Club stage and stages like it. Comedians will make fun of any race, the GLT community and anything else they can think of. Audiences will laugh their butts off.

Yes, that's true of comedians but even they are starting to get flack...especially the r rated ones. Think Dave Chappelle got some flack recently.

But I was talking about rated g shows.

Sorry, but rated g shows don’t have “sexual innuendos” in them, that I know of. Rated PG and R do. We have movies that are rated PG and R due to “sexual innuendos” and beyond in them, but they sure are good movies.
Anyway, these comedians really don’t care about what some folks think of their comedy.

The match game was rated G and there was a lot of it going on in the show...nothing bad but still
    there.

Anyway my point was about PC and nor so much about sex.

Weird, but women are told that no matter what they wear, or how much they might come onto a man, it’s totally the man’s fault if something happens the woman doesn’t like.

When does it become part of, if not all, of the woman’s fault?

Go say that on SF and see what happens.

And it is the man's fault. Unless I say okay, you have no right to do anything.

The key word in sex is CONSENUAL.

No matter what a woman is wearing?

And, what about if the woman starts “coming on” to a guy and then decides against anything. Some things are just taken to far for either a man or woman.

She could be naked and unless she says yes, you better not try anything...that's the way it is...it's the law.

I'm not much of a feminist and I do get what you are saying @Cody Fousnaugh but if I decide I changed my mind, going any further could be rape.

    I do understand a man's point of view though....but...
