I wish my husband was like Paul, Patsy... I'm like you, a fighter for my rights and fairness , but he hates me doing it.. he's all for a quiet life, and when I stand up for myself he gets annoyed with me..so nowadays I don't do it anywhere nearly as much as I'd like to or used to , just to keep the peace at home...
I'll put my Dutch Oven biscuits, cobbler, stews, etc. up against anyone's on the forum! ( and I make a 'mean' waffle...it's all about Vanilla Extract ).
When it comes right down to it...I bet there is at least one thing each of us can cook, bake, broil, grill, boil, fry, sushi, etc. that would win us all a blue ribbon!
Maybe he's right Holly - it sure gets harder as you get older I know I'll keep the spirit going though, just tempered down a bit
@Cody Fousnaugh ...get ready am about to let you have it both barrels. You my friend have a paranoia problem. If you were that disliked most would not even respond to you. I did read the posts about your lovely wife. A bit too gaga for me ...but hey your proud- we get that. As for your usage of the manly word...basically I could care less ...I mean I am not politically correct either. Bottom line..if you enjoy the forum and what each has to offer good....if not then leave...but don't waste time whining about no one likes you.
And @Yvonne Smith no can make those healthy smoothies, etc. like you can so you even have your own special Health Food Category that you win 1st Prize in all the time.
LOL..........Now you went and done it! Of all the medals in the culinary arts I have taken home, none was more pleasurable than beating Paul Prudhomme in '81 at the New Orleans food festival. I took the gold and the prestige and he went back to K-Paul's with nada. I featured panee'd frog legs and crab soufflé'.
Well congratulations @Bobby Cole...that is a honor indeed. That's some fancy Cajun cooking and not the kind I cook at all...so we will not have any problems here. You do the fancy stuff and I will stick to the everyday cajun meals.
