Afternoon all... It's been raining this morning and now at lunchtime the sun has come out...and there's some warmth in the sun. ..Hubs has his last day off today so he's doing a few bits of maintenance around the house inside and out... the wind might beat him tho'..outside...we'll see... hopefully he'll get it done before it starts to rain again. We're forecast for Gale force winds and heavy rain as from tomorrow. .. @Yvonne Smith , can I have your recipe for green smoothies?...Hubs takes a smoothie every morning but it's the stuff in powder form ... I've tried that but it's not for me it all tastes too grainy .. but I'm really trying to get my health up to par a little bit if I can.. Have a good Tuesday everybody... whatever your plans are for the day...
Good morning everyone! Heading home this morning, leaving when the sun rises. There are some areas of fog I have to drive through ...hope it's not too bad. See y'all later....
It is indeed a grand morning and Yvonne and I will be trotting off to the gym. Afterward, I do have to get some work out of the way because tonight is going to pretty much be a less than desirable evening. How's that for a full day summary? Yes, today is a day of semi-fasting and tonight I am supposed to swig down some Kickapoo not-so-enjoyable joy juice in order to prepare for tomorrow when someone whom I really do not know will be up close and personal with an area where the sun definitely does not shine. There is only one piece of fascination with the whole ordeal and that is I do wonder: Who, in their right mind, would spend thousands of dollars going through medical school just so they can root around in someone's back side? The other side of that coin is who in their right mind would pay someone to do it? It is a good thing the insurance companies are so in favor of the short marriage between doctor and patient because I would in no way fork out a few thousand dollars just to allow a doctor to play like an anatomical plumber with a roto-rooting machine! At the very least, this civilian doctor said I will be incommunicado which is quite different than my VA doctor who apparently liked chatting with me whilst he played with his camera and tire inflation machine.
errrrk...I've had that ''juice'' too for the same reason @Bobby Cole , not pleasant ...but a necessity unfortunately if you're suffering. Good luck tomorrow ..not the most pleasant of experiences...
No suffering except for a bit of anxiety. I really, really do hate to bare my backside just because somebody else is more interested in it than I am. More the indignity than anything else. Of course, the ladies would know more about that than I so I guess I will just have to man-up and get it over with.
I meant if you're suffering from a Malady which has necessitated the procedure...but yes there's always the anxiety the night before the procedure..but really it's all over quite quickly and they do their best to keep your dignity covered as much as possible.. ..so try not to be anxious... The *juice* and the results of the juice are far more inconvenient, .... As for us women, once we've given birth , legs akimbo..and lots of strangers that end..we don't give a damn who sees our bare backside..lol
Well I'm home...it was foggy but not too bad. My house is so cold though...first thing I did was turn on heat and now I'm sitting here waiting for it to warm up.
Poor @Bobby Cole ...they say the prep is the worst part. My daughter just went through it a month ago. Since their dad died of colon cancer my kids get colonoscopies earlier. I'm due for my first one soon....should have had it done last year but I have to coordinate with my daughter's schedule so she can drive me and hold my hand.
Good Afternoon all... It's absolutely pouring of rain here and full on Gale force winds... I'm keeping a beady eye on my neighbours tree because it's blowing and bending so hard I think it might fall onto my fence... . Best wishes to @Bobby Cole for your procedure today, hopefully it'll all be over very quickly and you can get back to having some food.. . Here in the Uk they offer a cuppa tea straight afterwards and a small snack after the enforced starvation over the last 24 hours.. good luck hope it all goes well To everyone else ...have a lovely day...
Good morning! Got my first widow's benefit for this year and I got a $19 raise...yay. Haha. Have PT this morning and then I need to do a lot of errands but most important is getting food, the cupboard is bare. On the chilly side this morning and we will only reach 66 today...brrrr.
We're at 9 deg C ( 48f ).. today CC..but indoors it doesn't feel cold because the rain kinda kees it from feeling too chilly... Just looked at my phone and it says it's 21.1 degrees in here.. which is just about 70f... Don't go mad spending that $19 on frivolous things now ill ya?..lol
Our high today will be 65, which is at the right average for January. On Monday, we were almost 80........ohhhhhhh, that was so nice. However, will be ready for cold weather and snow after we move. We know it comes with the territory.
I am flitting around the Yucatán @Patsy Faye flew from Cancun to Mexico City and back last week, now driving a rental car in the north of Yucatán. Yes @Babs Hunt it is hot here 28c around 80 in f I think. Will post some pics soon. Enjoy your week everyone....
