I have been watching the series of “Rough Riders” movies with Buck Jones, including Gunman From Bodie, Down Texas Way, Dawn on the Great Divide, Ghost Town Law, Below the Border, West of the Law, and Arizona Bound.

Most of these old Westerns are ones that I have never seen because we didn’t even have a television until I was nearly in high school, and then our television reception was very bad, so I didn’t spend much time watching it. When you can’t tell the Cowboys from the Indians, it loses something. Those that I have seen were so long ago that I could probably watch them again without realizing I’d already seen it. Plus, they came out about a decade before I was born.

We watched NED KELLY on tv yesterday. The 1970 version starring Mick Jagger as Ned. The best part was the music sung mostly by WAYLON JENNINGS.

Hello everyone. I was re-watching Ocean's Eleven the other day because I found myself laughing at the end. Surprisingly enjoyed it! Does anyone know similar movies?

Right now I'm binge watching "Orange is the New Black".

I couldn't get into it when it first came out but I'm really liking it...you get to know the characters and there's interesting back stories.

But...I don't recommend it to some on here as there is a lot of lesbian sex going on...but the stories are good.

We rented and watched Daddy's Home w/Will Farrell and Mark Walberg last night. To us, it would be a movie to watch while drinking a good/stout margarita or a couple of beers. Sort of stupid, but, with Will Farrell in it, that's what's expected.

I understand you completely! Will Ferrel is one of the actors that does a good movie every 10 years or so. I used to love him in SNL then it all went downhill. But I think the drinking was a great idea during the movie. I am going to try it myself :D

We watch old westerns on You Tube, there must be hundreds of them ... most of them I'd never heard of and some of them are fantastic ... I have a couple of chromecasts, the Ultra is on the living room tv and the v2 is outside under the verandah, the CCs turn our old HD TVs into 'smart' so picture quality is fantastic, especially for old movies ...

Watched War Horse again last night and still went thru' half a box of tissues, even tho' I knew what what would happen, truly heartwarming movie and a respite from the crash 'n' burn, / blow 'em up / shoot 'em dead / sex filled garbage that a lot movies are about these days ... or maybe I'm just too old to appreciate them ?:D

I feel you May. It is the same with me. I think I watched too many and I am immune to them and don't interest me anymore. I actually start laughing when they come on, it is ridiculous.
Yesterday I watched the new Thor movie and I enjoyed it very much. He is becoming my favourite superhero.

I've been following this actor Joel Kinneman after watching him in a Netflix original series 'The Killing'. He is now in another Netlix series 'Altered Carbon'.

Yes well, I know that 'sex sells' is the attitude to ev'rything these days but honestly, can't they let us use our imagination anymore? in the old movies, there're always scenes where you just know that he/she has just 'done it' ... but it doesn't distract from the story line ... now they show it all and usually doesn't add any value to the movie ( unless your a voyeur) ..yawn ...

I watched 4 seasons of Deadwood ... loved it, there were explicit scenes with prostitutes but they were actually part of the story , not just included for gratuitous content

Ohhh. Deadwood I'll have to check that out. Timothy Olyphant is one of the cast I have been following him as well.

Honestly Von, it is brilliant ( imo) the characters and their stories are really compelling, Timothy is not the only leading man, Ian McShane is superb and Paula Malcomson ( Ray Donovan) is very convincing
Now, Ray Donovan, watched first 3 series, still trying to access S4) another worth watching, again imo
