Peak: Wife had a very nice birthday on Saturday. She turned the big "70", but still looks and acts 10 or so years younger (at least). I got her beautiful flowers, a Happy Birthday balloon and we had dinner with a couple we know. The wife of "the couple we know", turned 70 on Sunday. Wife and her have known each other since high school. Also, played Hear It's Your Birthday by the Beatles, when she got up Saturday AM Pit: Wife's girlfriend, the one we had dinner with, has arthritis very bad. Had to have her husband help her walk to the table at the restaurant. Her hands have got bad arthritis in them (part of her hand knuckles are very big). On top of this bad arthritis, she also has Lupus. We pray for her each day.
Happy belated Birthday to Mrs Cody @Cody Fousnaugh ...the big 70. is she going to be retiring soon? What are you doing about finding a place to live away from Florida...I presume you're going to rent, have you narrowed it down to a specific area yet? Pit...... I don't know what's wrong with my eyes but they have been stinging like crazy for the last 4 days.. Peak ... Not a lot!!
She will retire, supposedly when we move. However, she would like to take on a part-time job wherever we move to, but she will not (note the word "not") work weekends. Will be going to Colorado this summer for a week. Will check out the area in northern Colorado that we are interested in and go to a rodeo as well. If we choose not to move to northern Colorado, we will have to find somewhere else, but definitely not in any southern state or east coast state. Have to rent, because we won't be able to buy. Won't have that kind of money. We will be signing our last Lease Agreement that will take us up to May of next year (2019), when we plan on moving.
ooh crikey, middle of 2019 ?....you need to get a wriggle on to decide where you're going to go...just over a year to find somewhere...and for your wife to look for a part-time job...gonna be pretty hard at 71 I think... but good for her wanting to still work if she can..
Not cheap. My sister bought a house there a few years ago...not their first home and it was $700,000 for about 3500 sq ft. They live outside of Colorado Springs and do have a nice view of the Rocky Mountains. My niece, her daughter just bought their first home and all they could afford was a condo. It's nice but doesn't look much different than the apt they were renting. Think it cost about $300,000.
Peak...started off well...until...took hubby to get toth pulled. This tooth we spent a fortune on about 2 years ago. Because of course all dds want u to keep your teeth. Anyway dentist can not pull because tooth is embedded. But cant even get a consultation with oral surgeon u til 2-7. Nothing... Is ever simple with this man! So kow am hoping he will not be in pain until he can have pulled.PS ..8weeks today smoke free...but days like drive me up the wall
But not for the same reasons we would and you wouldn’t live where we are looking at. It’s not “big city” like you like.
