Welcome Krissttina. We have always liked spam. Your recipe is interesting. I've never used oyster sauce or chili sesame oil. I would likely use a stir-fry sauce and for heat some Tabasco sauce or powder.
Tonight I made a chicken stir fry... just fresh egg noodles, chopped up asparagus, chopped curly Kale, and chopped skinned chicken thighs... added some light soy sauce, and a dash of Plum sauce ..and it was ready in 10 minutes and absolutely deeeelishus!!
We are having a late lunch/early dinner today. We made our monthly trip to Sam’s Club this morning, and one of the things that they had on sale was bacon. We have not had any for a long time; but it was $4 off , so we bought some, and our meal today was BLT with cheese and pickles on a toasted bun, and it made a perfect early dinner for us this afternoon. Sam’s club has some items that are cheaper than we can find elsewhere; but some things are cheaper at either Walmart of Kroger, but everything that we buy at Sam’s is always excellent quality.
We had grilled cheese sandwiches and cream of chicken soup. Sweet potato pie for later. I think it's getting close to later now.
I had just baked potato with butter ... and sliced Bacon grill for dinner... Hubs had Baked potato with chilli flavoured Olive oil instead of butter... with a serving of red, yellow and green peppers on the side..
We went out this evening as is our custom on Mondays. My wife ordered the liver and onion plate with mashed potatoes and gravy and veggies. We were both chilled because it's so cold out so we also ordered coffee for me and cocoa with whipped cream in mugs. Excellent way to warm hands on the hot mugs and warms the inside too. I ordered the open face turkey sandwich with with gravy and baked potato and veggies. Sounds like home cooking doesn't it? The chef is an excellent cook, the restaurant ambiance is quiet and comfortable and we are never disappointed. The prices are very reasonable and would you believe the restaurant is in our downtown casino? We've lived here twelve years before we discovered this haven.
I have NO clue what any of that is, @Holly Saunders ; but it all sounds interesting, for sure. We had a late lunch/early dinner of BLT with cheese again. It just seems to be something we are enjoying right now, and I took the second package of bacon back out of the freezer to thaw. We still have some of the apple pie that we splurge on once a month when we go to Sam’s club, so that will probably be a snack for later. It is supposed to be even colder here tomorrow, so I am going to make some cabbage soup for tomorrows main meal.
Yvonne Blini's are Russian small savoury pancakes...usually served with smoked salmon or something similar on top... with maybe a cream cheese spread .. I usually have smoked salmon on mine ....but as I didn't have any in the fridge I made do with chopped ham... Taramasalata ..is a smoked or cured Cod roe spread... deeeelicious
Tonight supper is a big bowl of my fresh made chicken-vegetable soup, a hamburger with pimento-cheese spread, and a couple my special baked potatoes (plenty of butter, melted blue cheese, and horseradish sauce).
Sounds yummy, we're having good old curried sausages, got some carrots, green beans and spuds to go with them ...
I made a big pot of vegetable beef soup which we've been eating for three days. Still enough left for a couple of meals but we put that in the freezer for another day. Tacos today. Made with meat, cheese, and guacamole.
Last night we had roast, mashed potatoes and carrots and broccoli... well he did I ate the roast and mashed potatoes, and a few carrots I am thinking stuffed zucchini tonight
Last night I had Turkish Lamb tagine.. and shredded cabbage...oooh it was delicious. There was enough for 2 people, and my o/h doesn't eat meat..so I would usually freeze the rest but it was soo yummy I went back for seconds lol
