Lolol oh such funnie this morning. Chocolate is good...the expensive good kind. When given a choice I usually pick vanilla strawberry. Always I claimed I hated avocados...until last year...now I love it !
Avocados are one of those foods that HAS to be just perfectly ripe when you eat it, and not much room for tolerance. If it is a bit too green, it is a pretty color of green flesh; but the taste is almost bitter. On the other hand, if it is just a little too ripe, then the color is a seriously ugly greenish-brownish-yellow, and the texture is more like mush and the taste is awful. So, if your first taste of an avocado is not one that is perfectly ripened, then a person would probably never, ever want to eat another one. As far as chocolate, I love it as much as the next person, but when I am staying away from sugary foods and eating the low-carb food that I know I should be eating, then I have no craving for chocolate like I do otherwise. I think that this might be because the dark deep chocolate has some magnesium in it, which is being depleted by sugary foods; but when I am having lots of greens and green smoothies, then my magnesium level is topped out so I have very few food cravings.
My breakfast routine is quite boring ... usually cold oatmeal prepared the night before with cinnamon and vanilla, topped with bananas and prunes. Sometimes I'll go wild and do bacon and eggs 'lol ... or Hungry Jack pancakes.
I made homemade granola the other day, and it turned out so delicious; so I have had granola and Greek yogurt for breakfast the last two days, and also some as a late evening mini-meal. I love granola, especially with all kinds of seeds and dried fruit; but it costs so much for just a little package of it. Making my own is much cheaper, and it has just what I want in it.
Welcome @Katie Kelly This morning I had a thick slice of wholemeal bread with marmalade...and then about 2 hours later I had a big bowl of porridge oats, with skimmed milk and seedless dates
If you don’t like the Fiber One cereal, who not have something else with fiber in it for breakfast ? It does have a lot of fiber in it, and is probably an easy way to get your morning fiber.
It seems to have the most for the least amount of calories...and it works the best for me, so I eat it. 1/2 cup is only 60 calories and the amount of Almond milk I use to wet it is probably about 15 calories...all that is about 14 grams of fiber. Since it's so low cal...I eat something else an hour or two later anyway.
Nuts don’t agree with my stomach either, but they are so nutritous so I put a handful of mixed nuts in my Nutri Bullet when I am making my cherry smoothie. When I grind them up, I can handle them. I buy raw nuts from Trader Joe’s.
I buy organic Avocado Mayonnaise at Costco. Avocados are good for you. I can’t believe how good this Avocado mayo is, and very reasonably priced at Costco.
