@Lynda R. Hi, Lynda! Welcome to "the place! Your OP caught my attention, as my wife and I lived 20 years in the Phoenix area, 1979 to 1999. We built our own home straight down 51st. Avenue to a rural area called Laveen, left on Estrella Dr. which is about 3 miles south of Baseline Rd., then left on 47th. Ave., our house is the only red brick on Gumina, just in case you happen to be in the area. The Vee Quiva Casino is only about a mile farther south on 51st. There were vast fields of crops growing all around there back in 1979, but today much of the "rural atmosphere" has been swallowed up by the ever-enlarging Phoenix City proper. Sharing life experiences is one of my specialties, as most others will heave a sigh reading this, well-accustomed to my going overboard! Frank

Well, I like it that the coffee is always on and the welcome mat seems always to be out. Have to stop by and have a cup of that Arkansas mud one of these days.
