Wow, you're close to where I wanted to be, or close. I fell in love with Arizona on a trip to the G.Canyon in 1983. I would prefer Prescott tho, but couldn't afford it. Well the National Forest area here has blossom Ed. West Plains, Mt Grove has too. Your old area is still less busy, but, I'm not sure it won't. Thanks for connecting. I'd love to see the canyon again. But, that would be a long trip from her.

Oops...yes you did go west. Couldn't be much more West than Texas. I had the opportunity to see Big Ben way back in 1981. Loved it. I also visited Houston for 3 weeks in 1964. That was when Houston was a safe City. Really changed like everywhere I guess.

I haven't got the hang of this yet, replying that is. I hope I replied to you yesterday. I'm using a cell phone...can't get internet out here. I don't see the reply , I thot I sent...but, I drive to a place called Graff, Mo. to have the dogs|cats spayed that I rescue for adoptions. It is truly a "blink & miss it" spot. But it's worth the trip, cause the vet is so reasonable.

It looks to me like your replies are coming through okay, @Ann Shonert . We are on page 2 of this welcome thread, and my first post and your response are back on the first page; so that is maybe why you are not seeing it.
I use my iPad when I am online, as do several other members here, and that should not be a lot different than what you see on your smartphone.
If you have a hotspot on your phone, you could try getting a tablet to use for the forum, because that would be larger and easier for you to see everything than just using a phone .
I think that I might have even been to that vet clinic in Graff !
It was about 1998 when I lived there, so my memory is not really clear about it anymore; but I do remember going to some little place way out in the sticks when I needed to take my dog to the vet.
I had a Great Dane back then, and I think it cost a whole whopping $25 to have his ears cropped, and that included his stay overnight at the vet clinic.

Yeah, for that, even a Kindle will work fine; particularly one of there larger ones, although I much prefer even my small Kindle to my smartphone for that. I am mentioning the Kindle because they are a whole lot cheaper than the iPads.

That was my thought, too. You can’t beat the rugged quality of the Kindle, especially for the price that they ask for them, particularly the small ones.
They were on sale at Amazon a few weeks ago, and with payments if you have a Prime account; but I looked to see and they are not on sale right now. But regular price for the 7” one is only $49, so very affordable, and used ones are really cheap on ebay, of course. But it is worth the extra money to get one of the new ones, in my opinion.
    Still a great bargain though.
Ina used her Kindle for everything until she got her first iPad. Of course, once you get an iPad, you are seriously spoiled for using anything else. You can get some of the used ipads on ebay or even craigslist pretty reasonable though.
I got my iPad Mini , complete with a keyboard case, for just over $100; so that is pretty cheap for an iPad, and it is still new enough to update yet.

I wish I could hook a keyboard up to my Kindle. That's one big advantage of the iPad, I think.

I think that both Amazon and ebay have the keyboard case. It does not work with bluetooth, it just connects with the kindle itself via usb and then runs off of the kindle’s power. I imagine that you might need to charge the kindle more often if you were using the keyboard a lot; but it still would give you a nice portable keyboard for it.
I think that the new kindles have bluetooth now, so it would also be easy to just get one of the little portable keyboards and connect with bluetooth; but you would not have the nice carrying case that way.
Here is a picture of one on ebay listed as buy it now for $12.99.
