Don't forget Spring break which is already happening for some students. @Yvonne Smith ....I saw you mention you may go....will it be spring break time? Hope not! Although you can ask for a wheelchair and that will get you in a shorter line I think.
We've been there once, to Hollywood Studios and it wasn't THAT bad. People have to expect to put out money at any amusement park or other family entertainment area. Just the way it is. But, there are other places besides Disney World to go, like Yellowstone National Park, Bear Country in South Dakota and others. And, when anywhere in Florida during the summer, people will encounter heat and humidity.
Robin and I will be driving down to Orlando this weekend, and then she will be working there all of next week, and we will come back home the next weekend. Since she is retired (disabled) military, she said that she gets a good discount for things like Disney World, and she has been there several times when she was in the area for work. Since I won’t be going on any kind of rides, I should avoid most of the lines where young college/high school kids might be in line. I would just go through some of the features where you can ride through and look, or maybe walk through and look. The I-Ride Trolly goes all over the main tourist area of Orlando , and it is only 25 cents for seniors; so I plan on taking that and just seeing the sights of the city also. Plus, there is the swimming pool (and you guys all know how much I LOVE swimming; so I am sure that there will be lots to do to keep me busy while Robin is at work. I have never been to Florida, and I love to travel (so does Robin, if you had not guessed); so I am really looking forward to the trip with her.
Good morning friends, it's another beautiful sunny day here in St.Peter, sadly though Lisa has come down with a heavy cold and lost her voice, so we won't be able to go out for our last meal together ........ worse than that her family are arriving on Friday to stay for the Easter holidays, hopefully her cold will be subsiding by then. This happened to Lisa last year, and left her with a persistent cough for a couple of months, hopefully it won't develop into that this time. I feel fine today after a good nights sleep and only have to pack some bags of buckwheat, and odds of ends of clothing that go back and forth to pad out my suitcase ....... it always arrives full of food and returns pretty much empty........... We watched the movie "The Danish Girl" last night, the second time for me, as I saw it last year with my daughters and loved it, but it was the first time for Lisa. It's a sad but poignant film, and on this second viewing I was swept away by the beautiful cinematography, superb acting and the music, if you haven't seen it yet I highly recommend it, Netflix have it on the UK site at least. Enjoy your day.......
Good Morning everyone... After 2 days of glorious sun, where we got loads done that needs outside work, the gloom is back and we're forecast for heavy rain for the rest of the week.. We managed to get the lawns all first mow of the year as well. Yesterday I booked our flights to Spain for mid summer... .and as we're in the process of selling our property in Spain we've booked a mountain apartment to stay in while we're finalising the sale @Yvonne Smith and @Shirley Martin , I hope you have a wonderful time when you're away, I'd love to visit the USA. @Terry Page , I'll have the kettle on ready for you as usual when you get back here..
Good morning! Beautiful weather....today and tomorrow it will be in the upper 70's. Then it's all 80's, not ready for that yet. I'm going to have to walk at the crack of dawn.
I had no idea Don..it was a random picture taken from google.. ( if I post my own photos I will always say so)...but after a little bit of research for you, it seems it was taken somewhere in Montreal Canada...
Good morning to you all, I arrived back in the UK last night and am adjusting to life here and missing my cups of coffee in bed being brought to me by Lisa ....have a great Wednesday...
Good morning! Beautiful day here, my last full day at home. Have lots to do but having a lazy day. Still early so hopefully I perk up soon. Have a great day everyone.
