I went to Pitt (university of Pittsburgh) for a year and the main building was a tall structure called the cathedral of learning...the inside first floor was beautiful and I loved being there studying ....the rest of the campus was modern though.
Pit for my life: should have stayed in College and not moved to Chicago Peak of my life: my husband and children, and they wouldn't exist now if I didn't meet my husband in Chicago.
@Chrissy Cross - must be wonderful to study in those surroundings As a child, churches were open all day and I would wonder in and sit a spell, wonderful
I have no idea if that's the case here and it would probably be different in different areas or states.
Pit: Forgot our 18pk of Bud Light cans at Walmart. It was sitting under the seat of the electric cart I was using, that I sometimes use, and we forgot to take it off of the cart and put it in the rear of our vehicle with the other groceries. I was putting away the groceries at home and asked my wife "where's the case of Bud Light?" Oh, she was not happy that we forgot it! Immediately got into the car and headed back to Walmart. The cart wasn't sitting where I parked it, so we figured that someone got a free case of beer. Peak: Went to Walmart Customer Service and there was the case of beer sitting at the end of the counter. Due to someone "niceness", we got our beer back!! Guess not everyone in Jacksonville takes things...……..which is nice.
Thanks for asking. Sari is doing fine again, to my surprise I must say. People with more experience told me that she'd be recovering soon because dogs are "fighters". If there's no infection, things will be all right for her I think. Yesterday, however, it came a bit as a shock because I've never had any problems with her (nor had she with me ;-)) The vet says she must have had toothache and that is probably true as Sari is having an increased appetite now. Looking at it this way, it was a good decision to take her to a vet who took care, which the previous one obviously lacked. I'm relieved that she may be painless now. BTW, how would we know if a dog has got toothache? There were no obvious signs if you ask me. Sari this afternoon, frolicking again.
Good question So good to see her happy again and so soon ! Takes me longer than that for 'one' tooth Well done Sari
oh that's a great story, I love to hear stuff like that...but Cody may I ask why you were using an electric cart, are you sick?
yesterday's Pits and peaks.. Pit:... all day at the hospital 2 hours with the consultant....and hour and a half waiting for bloods.. on a very hot day with no AC in the waiting areas.. The hospital is in a major town in a different County so I left earlier than I needed to because there's a large shopping area there, and I had quite a few things I wanted to shop for, but the gods were against me and everything that could go wrong went wrong, so I didn't get most of the things I had intended to get before my appointment. ..not overly concerned because I presumed I'd get it all after my appointment ( not expecting to be there for 5 hours)..and when I came out I then learnt that the everything apart from restaurants in this town close at 5.30pm..even department stores.. so I was out of luck. Peak : Ate out at a Chinese restaurant before we came home, so I didn't have to cook...
Even though I do like to cook, but not nearly as much as I use to, I do like it when we eat out or go out for some fast-food to take home. We had Arby's Roast Beef last night. Like Chinese, but just too much sugar in some foods for us.
Hope all went well at the hospital @Holly Saunders ....I wasn't on much while away but do remember reading you had to have tests or was it a procedure? In any case...hope all is well!!!❤️
